My point is there is little to no point in using a credit card unless you are buying something you don't have the money to pay for. Don't buy a car with a loan.

Whereas unless you happen to have hundreds of thousands of [currency] then you have to get a loan to buy a house. I only get into any kind of debt if I have to.

I get 2% cash back on all the things I was going to buy anyways. Plus I get to float my money for an extra month to month and a half and get even more free money. And I don't pay any FOREX fees when overseas. Why would I want to buy my things with cash or a debit card again?

You pay it off every month. Tard. No debt. If that kind of responsibility scares you, don't use one. Tard. Other people can, which makes you the tard. Not them.
Tard.

You are in debt the moment you use a credit card. Tard. If you can pay it off every month then why get into debt? Tard. Just use a debt card Tard. Anyone can use a debit card. Tard. If the responsibility of actually having the money when you want to buy things, don't buy them. Tard.

I've had a credit card for 8 years or so now and have never paid a single dime in interest, yet I have received quite a bit in rewards. I, like I imagine nick, and many others use a CC but think of the dollar amounts as cash - in such a way that I do not put something on my CC if I don't have enough liquid cash to pay it off at the same time. So I'm thousands of dollars richer for having used a CC over cash. Where is the little to no point in that? In addition to that, the fact that I am using credit appropriately helps build a solid credit history for myself which will further benefit (by way of a lower interest rate) when I do plan on borrowing large sums of money for a house. So again, using my CC and never paying a dime in interest will have made me thousands, of thousands of dollars, in the long term over cash. You think that's retarded?

If you didn't read the OP, nor the replies. You probably just saw title, and started babbling incessantly like you always do.
-You get cashback rewards.
-Debit cards (not debt cards) are open to fraud and don't offer the same protection.

Tard.

I hate people who always use credit cards to pay for purchases. It eats into our profits. :\

Using a credit card for things that you do not have the cash to pay off is stupid, unless it's an absolute emergency (and the $5.00 Starbucks coffee isn't an emergency). With that said, prices are still higher because of the use of credit cards and their fees. Some business refuse to take anything but cash or debit cards (even checks) as the fees are just too high and they can either have higher profit or lower prices (or mixture) by not taking credit cards or checks.

There is a bakery that will not take CC near me. They only take cash or check

I go to another bakery to give them my business. I dont shop at businesses stuck in the 1950's.

No, I think its just a very vocal minority.

It's the same mentality. Neckbeard is one of the Anti-CC'ers in here, and he is also a raving anti-gun nut who thinks all guns should be banned. He thinks that anything that has the possibility of causing harm needs to be outlawed. Definitely out there.

Yep. I'm considering raising our rates or giving a discount for cash/check to compensate for the fees.

I pay with CC and never had any CC debt.

Did your head just explode?

I also agree with banning Cannabis, and think killing is immoral, and that abortion is immoral, and that religion is retarded, I don't like music.

Don't forget the rest!

Is it legal to give a discount for cash or does it need to be called a "rebate" (like gas stations us)?

I haven't really looked into it yet, so I don't know. I only know I'm getting sick of the CC fees. I calculated the cost of accepting CCs for last year to be 8% (insurance included). :\

The liquor store I go to (Specs) lists two prices, one for cash/debit, another (slightly higher one) for CC.

They call it a discount for using cash or debit, not a charge for using CC.

It's a little different from guns. Anti-gun people want to protect themselves because they think you can't control yourself. The ant-CC people want to protect you because you can't control yourself.

I kinda like how people fuck themselves with credit cards and alcohol and cigarettes. Other people not paying their bills is why my credit card has no transaction fees. Other people with drinking and smoking problems provide a significant source of tax money so the taxes on everyone else can be lower
