Im addicted to Mexican Food!!!

We have this AWESOME mexican resturant next door to my office, La Bambas.

I ate it 4/5 days last week and im hankering for it again.... GRRRRRRRR, SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD.

Anyone else obsessed with a resturant right now? Which one is it?

taco bell is terrible
grade f mea...had a taco there, starting gagging and threw it out. that sh!t taste nasty. If i want mexican i either make it myself or go to a restaurant...taco bell is GARBAGE!!!

for cheap, fast, tex-mex i usually hit taco cabana or a taqueria. fajita combo loaded with cilantro, onion, and lime juice.

With Taco Bell, price is really the deciding factor. I lived on their food back when I was a starving bike racer as you can stuff yourself for $3.00

Taste-wise, it really doesnt' hold a candle to an authentic Mexican restaurant tho. JMHO.

Taco Bell is OK when you need a quick fix of nachos....but it's not Mexican food. It's Tex-Mex.

THere's a new Mexican place near me called La Comina Real. It's owned by a hispanic family (some of the workers don't even speak English), so you know it's authentic. It's got great atmosphere, and the food is FANTASTIC. Home made beans, rice, salsa, enchiladas (their enchilada sauce has a touch of lime----soooooo good), and they don't cover up everything with tons of cheese and sour cream (like some places do to hide the fact that their food sucks. Cheese should compliment the food, not overtake it). Cheap too....most entrees are $7.00 or less. I try to eat there once a week, but it's hard to get in a lot of times because the place gets very crowded after 6pm.

Taste IS the deciding factor. Compare Taco Bell Soft Taco to Norristown, PA's Taqueria La Michoacana. Taco Bell tastes like ass compared to the Tacos from Taqueria.
And just let me see you order tamales or flautas from Taco Bell.
Or a $4 burrito that is big enough for 2 people?

Then there Mad 4 Mex (Pittsburgh, Philly), which should have it's on cateogry.

Bottom line:
As much as I like Taco Bell, it's foul tripe and when you get right down to it, it doesn't taste good compared to real Mexican food.
Taste IS the deciding factor, and Taco Bell is the bottom rung.
It tastes better than a lot of other fast food, but as a "Mexican" food, it's trash.
