Scoring 80's is pretty good. Apparently now if a game gets an 80 it's a bad thing. But for the hype yea I guess it was suppose to score higher.

It's been like that for a while on some gaming sites. If you read the thread on NeoGAF, it's basically a bunch of people posting, "Looks like it's scoring 8 across the board, on well, I guess I'll pass." It's dumb.

I don't understand some people expecting a perfect score or a perfect game. Reviews don't always matter. Thief scored badly but I still enjoy it. Haven't played it past chapter 3 since I picked up mlb 14 but it's decent.

I don't think I have seen a game get a perfect score in such a long time anyway.

Yeah, it's funny how we used to see perfect scores all the time, and there were complaints of paying off reviewers or a too-easy rating system. Now, we see the scores reigned in a bit, and the spoiled nature of seeing perfect scores too much has people thinking an 80% or so is a failure. It's like the Internet is the disappointed Chinese dad meme or something.

Most of the reviews are positive though. The scores aren't as meaningful as when someone says "the world is detailed and characters feel like real people when you get their background info".

All the user reviews are crap and mostly untrue. They complain about driving being bad...it isn't a racing game first of all. GTA always had pretty bad driving controls too. Plus the supercars stick to the road like glue in watch dogs so it gets a little too easy to drive around. Even saw a dude saying the game stutters on his PC but then he admitted that he won't turn down the graphics settings to help it. It isn't ubisoft who is at fault there. One guy even went so far as to complain that nvidia surround doesn't work. Anyone who actually uses that knows that its up to nvidia to make the drivers work, not the developer. Plus Nvidia surround is problematic to begin with.

Meh...I played a bit last night and what I saw was perfectly fine, detailed, with interesting characters. I have few complaints overall. The game runs just fine on my PC too.

Well because there was a lot of hype surrounding the game. With how much people were anticipating it, I was expecting a higher average score. Doesn't mean I won't enjoy it though. I've been playing the new Wolfenstein game and I'm having tons of fun with it

Those of you that have the game or about to get it what system are you getting it on? I'm getting mine on the xbone since all my 360 buddies upgraded to the xbone. I'd rather get it on ps4 but we've got 8 people getting it on xbone

Yea basically that is what I saw too. Pretty stupid of what people expect now. Yes it had a lot of hype but still, they expected gta v with better graphics and completely new play style that no one has seen. One of the user reviews says it's like millions of other games that are just like it. What?

You should almost always get the same game your friends are getting if it's multi-player. This game has multi-player aspects so it makes sense to get what your friends are getting.

Me personally I'm getting it on PS4 since that's what it's the best on and my friends have PS4 as well.

I was going to pick this up for xbox one, but the reviews I've been reading seem to indicate that the graphics are disappointing on both the xbone and the PS4. I'll probably just wait for it to hit a steam sale now as my PC will probably max it out anyway.

My buddy says they look good on the ps4, but you can tell they could be better. Obviously not all the system can do.

Trust me I'd much rather get it on the ps4 as I'm sure it will run smoother then the xbone. The game looks fun with the 1 vs 1 hacking. I'll have a lot of fun playing that mode with my friends online. I was watching people on twitch streaming that mode and its pretty cool what some of the people were doing to not be spotted

I'm curious to see how those alleged doomsday setting really are. If you want to play the game offline, does it REALLY reset your character, making playing offline pointless? If you're online, can you REALLY get hacked by anyone, at any time, with no way to be able to be on your own and exploring for fun? Those were some serious things for me, because I don't care to try to be messing around and have my entire game interrupted by some troll.

I've seen that you get a choice to accept a hacking event. Not sure how that works.

I've put about 3 hours into it so far, and I'm really enjoying my self.

It takes a bit of getting used to though, it isn't as simple as GTA, because you interact with the world so much, to me it was a bit overwhelming at first figuring out what all the buttons do and crap.

You can turn off online interventions though, I did that just so I can get accustomed to the game first, but you can turn it back on at any time.

No it doesn't. If I wanted to play online and bump peens with random assholes impeding my progress I'd play Call of Duty or something.

I don't think any random person can just come in and hack you. There are prompts that show up and if you accept, then you get teleported to an area where you need to hack each other. The less you hack others online the less you get hacked.

That's fine. As long as I can enjoy the game in my own sweet single player solitude without having online competitive aspects forced on me.

It might be a fun option on a second or third play but not something I car to deal with when playing for the first time or when trying to 100% it.

What kind of stuff can you do online on this game? Isn't there a free roam type mode, and if so can the cops get involved?
