Good thing you asked ATOT where there are people who know the answer to a question that's stumped historians and scientists for thousands of years.

i wanted to know what the people of ATOT thought. if i wanted to ask a scientists i would have asked a scientists.

want to hold my hand?

Wrong. The question you asked was "how did they build the pyramids". You are asking for a factual answer. *THE* answer, not an opinion.

I'm pretty sure DP knew what he was asking for... you don't have to tell him

yes, and added to that much technology was lost in wars and age.

many civilizations built incredible building and monuments. The masons and architects were geniouses. But alas, we have lost alot of that know how. Now we just use hydralics and motors, and very simple structurally sound designs to build buildings. It is less trouble that way.

Generally, you take the path of least resistence to accomplish a goal. We don't have to do it the hard way anymore, so we sit around saying how it was so impossible to do before.

I think, given the resources and power egypt had at that time they did it on their own using slave labor...without the help of aliens.

QFT.

They even knew much about the human anatomy that we are just rediscovering. Da Vincis lost work probably contained a large amount of that data, but go even further back. The Incans, the Chinese, the Greeks... supposively all had "doctors" who performed brain surgery.

Sadly, at least in the Chinese case, a warlord killed off the "doctor" and his whole family because he was a paranoid prick with brain cancer. The story goes that the doctor was called in by the warlord to help, and the doctor offered to perform brain surgery, but the warlord thought that the doctor would do something terrible, so decimated his family and the doctor. Sad.

The Baghdad Battery

Today batteries can be found in any grocery, drug, convenience and department store you come across. Well, here's a battery that's 2,000 years old! Known as the Baghdad Battery, this curiosity was found in the ruins of a Parthian village believed to date back to between 248 B.C. and 226 A.D. The device consists of a 5-1/2-inch high clay vessel inside of which was a copper cylinder held in place by asphalt, and inside of that was an oxidized iron rod. Experts who examined it concluded that the device needed only to be filled with an acid or alkaline liquid to produce an electric charge. It is believed that this ancient battery might have been used for electroplating objects with gold. If so, how was this technology lost... and the battery not rediscovered for another 1,800 years?
