Unless you wanted a blu-ray player, I don't see the reason to buy PS3 now. There just isn't any good games yet, it's 600 fvcking dollars, and the first iteration of Sony consoles tend to have atrocious reliability. With that said, if PS3 drops to $400ish, I'll be picking up one this Fall.

With 360, at least you can play Oblivion, Gears of War, and a few bargain bin Rare games. $400 isn't that bad.

With Wii you get the novelty of the remote, and Zelda. $250 isn't bad, except that the hardware simply isn't worth it, and Nintendo knows this (they make $100 profit per sold Wii).

i dont havea 360 and wanted an HD gaming solution and so far I like the ps3 a lot, BUT i am giving it until march...if the firmware isnt updated, and the ps2/1 games are improved, along with some nice release titles....heavily sword, motorstorm...then it will be seeing ebay

PGR and Kameo were true shiners of what HD gaming is all about. It's been a while...all I remember is me and my friends spending countless hours playing and having one heck of a good time. No games have brought that much attention to my home theater then those two - 10 people standing around just itching to play.

Kameo was a truly fantastic game. So was PGR3, but for some reason even though I was a huge fan of PGR2, I couldn't get myself to like the new iteration. And I don't remember if this was right at launch or just really shortly thereafter, but Fight Night Round 3 was spectacular as well. Then NFS: Most Wanted (very underrated). Then GRAW. Then Dead Rising. Then Gears Of War. The titles are definitely there for the 360.

And like one of the posters on the first page said, you didn't need to tell ATOT. I was about to return my 360 last December (13 months ago) but figured I'd hang onto it in case something good came out. Something finally did... 11 months later (Gears of War). What a fvcking piece of garbage. I should have returned it when I thought of it. Of course now I have to keep it for Halo 3.

I returned my PS3 after 3 weeks of owning it. It isn't very impressive for a $600 system and like you I found I played my 360 far more than the PS3. Furthermore the PS3 online system sucks hard.

Frankly though what did you expect its a launch system with only a few good games, to say the 360 had better games at launch is wrong. Also is there any particular reason if you had a HDTV that you wouldnt use blu-ray? If you dont have a hdtv why would you buy one of these next-gen consoles?

Technically the 360 did have better games at launch. It was the only HD system available so there was nothing else to compare it to, therefore even bad games looked decent compared to nothing.
