I'm done with Newegg

Ordered an XBox 360 HD DVD as an Xmas present from Newegg and when it arrived it was in the original manufacturers box - they didn't put it in a shipping box with packing material, just stuck shipping labels on the Xbox HD drive box. Needless to say, the box was filthy, mashed and beat up. Fortunately the drive doesn't look damaged - which is surprising because there is virtually no cushioning inside the box. Now I'm supposed to wrap this beat up piece of crap box as a Christmas present???

To top it off, Newegg doesn't even respond to my emails and I have spent literally thousands of dollars with them over the past couple of years. I am through doing business with Newegg.

that would suck, i suppose if newegg doesn't care, you could just take it out of the box and rebox it into something nicer.

personally i'd be worried that the laser might've been affected by the rough treatment... hairline misalignment would turn it into and endless source of random issues.

they actually sent me my xbox 360 the sameway and it had alittle damage on the box, but it worked and i didn't care much

Did you ship it via UPS? They just throw the boxes around (literally).

First off... Newegg has always been serious about their customer service. Call them and they will make it right.

Second... Learn how to use the damn forums. This isn't a hot deal, don't post it here.

Fedex is the same, well my area at least. If no one is around, they will literally chuck any size package I have shipped onto the second floor balcony if no one answers the door, signature confirm or not. i still have one of the notices they left on the door stating, "left with: balcony"

Probably a mistake. Cases and larger items should be shipped in stock boxes

B1tch at newegg for anything and they will compensate

Yeah they do that to me whenever it's a high dollar item, leave it on the doorstep, no signing no nothing.

However, when I bought a new $20 mousepad, he tried to cover the ginormous box with my doormat, it was really quite clever.

All of the above. If you ship via UPS, gg. Pay the extra few bucks and use Fed Ex.
Have a problem? Chat or voice is the way to go. they have always taken care of me... even over something like a $12 fan.

BTW, can someone move this thread?
