Relationship Timeline

Week 1: Initial meeting at an ATOT-er's house, dating commences
Week 2: Dating continues, at the end of the week he asks me to be his girlfriend

Week 4: More dating/spending time together
Week 5: 10 days spent in New Mexico with his family (USC's Spring Break, my

You fell in love in 3 weeks? Thats not love sista, thats infatuation. I had a long, serious relationship with a girl, and I "thought" I was in love with her after a few weeks, thought about telling her as such, but refrained, and in the end I'm glad I did, because when I really DID fall in love with her it was a much different thing than the initial infatuation. I didn't know that I was REALLY in love with her for several months. You might want to slow down there cheetah.

There are some grounds for worries because he's a first year college student. Parties, girls, school, ... to be honest, he's too young for marriage (I hope you're not the jealous type). There is a whole life to live ahead of him -- and a career to establish. Remember divorce is a headache and 60% of all marriages fail in California. Best of luck to you!

Six weeks isn't that shocking. Did you totally skip over:

Week 3: Intimacies...

Who cares what people say, I know plenty of folks who got married within 3 months even and are together after 25 up to 50 years in one case.

Seems the more time people spend together BEFORE they are married, they stay married not as long as it would seem (higher divorce rater after living together and stuff).

My only question is, why do people get engaged and wait so long to get married? I know a few girls who took 2, sometimes 3 years before getting married after they were engaged. I always figured, if you're engaged you'd get married within just enough time to arrange it all (3 months max maybe?).
