I don't need mental help because the problem comes right back it never ends. No medicine will solve that (it will only make it worse).
Dude, you definitely have some unaddressed mental issues that are not helping you. And this sort of attitude is gonna stop you from actually getting help, or make it useless if you do manage to get some.

"Spiritual warfare", "demons attacking you mentally, spiritually." I still don't know exactly what that means (hard to get at the root of an issue with ambiguous b.s. words) but I guess it doesn't matter if you refuse help.

I think you should move back in with parents, just while you get yourself on your feet and see a therapist, at the minimum. Thankfully my parents took me in after I've lost two jobs due to drinking. Yeah it's not ideal but I guarantee living with your parents for a bit would be better than out in the fricking woods.

op , this movie reminds me of what you are thinking of . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Into_the_Wild_(film)
It is from the book by the same name . You might want to take a look .
Actually, Chris McCandless had it much more together than Cheez. Very few people could have done what Chris did. He was an off the grid adventurer with his own motivations. I read the book before seeing the movie. Also of interest here is Wild, again, I read the book before seeing the movie. Wild was one woman's desperate move to rescue herself, but she too was a self motivated adventurer, something way different from Cheez's fantasy. Much more to the point would be 2018's Leave No Trace, about a guy (and his daughter) who live off the grid, camping in a park. All these are great... the books, the movies.

good lord. no money to pay for a doctor but thought $2k speaker cables were a reasonable decision. apparently, it was after all of that he found Jesus, only Jesus told him that he needs to be poor.

And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

@cheez Have you tried to get any help? Just getting some mental health input isnt the end of the world and it might just give you some perspective to make more rounded decisions.

No one here wants to see you suffer or be homeless in the woods.

Would it be terrible to go stay with your parents just to get the chance to make a bit of a life plan without the pressure of everything you have going on?

As a favour to us would you be willing to go get some help?

Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youts came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you bald head! Go up, you bald head!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youts.

Mixing the old and new testament?

Why not? If the religilous can cherry pick their stuff, than I can too.

More of a wildlife warning for campers given the thread. I fear people have forgotten the wisdom of the Colbert Report these last many years.

Oh the noes, Felix didn't appreciate being made to think of Joe Pesci.

When I lived on Maui they would just pitch tents on the beach, They had a special area where it was allowed. This was the late 80's

If I was ever homeless thats probably where i would go. Hawaii has a major drug and homeless problem though, probably because the weather is so nice most the year.

When I was in Maui on the beach, I would pitch a tent for other reasons...those bikinis are INSANE!

Anyway, as for the OP, after reading previous posts I think this is a bunch of attention-getting BS.

The difference is the old testament is about God the arbiter and the new is about God the savior. You're free to believe what you want but, you aren't capable of judging God, no one is.

Lighten up there Kirk Cameron. This ain't bible class, posted as levity for the "sleeping bags are the soft tacos of the bear world" joke angle.

But since we're here, your 'difference' is immaterial to people like me, who don't subscribe to that fiction and thus have no need to operate within the context it sells. I have little to no desire to spend time judging whatever beliefs people believe in, unless it affects my family and our rights. Tangible, physical literary works are indeed up for debate and critique though, and if that offends your pious sensibilities I'm not sure what else to tell you other than tough shit.

You don't have to agree with me or what I post, I'm fine with it. Not funny? I'm fine with that too.

Well I'm sure you don't mean to confuse apathy with insecurity Magnus, you're just touchy about your book. While I obviously don't care for it myself, that doesn't mean I can't be glad it may have been useful to you in your recent health adventures. I reminded myself that you ran the gamma knife gauntlet dude, so I am for whatever works for you, whenever it works for you.

I probably am sensitive but, it may be because OT seems to have a habit of bashing those with religious beliefs.

Bible always has good lessons in it. You can protect your camping gear by harnessing the power of the bears. Those youts won't touch your stuff when there are a couple bears standing watch.
