I'm going Homeless.. Need help on Tent and Woodstove in Wilderness

I don't need mental help because the problem comes right back it never ends. No medicine will solve that (it will only make it worse).

Back on topic. I need some help on what wood stove to buy and setup.

I need good heating because it's still cold out here even though summer is approaching. In the morning it's down to high 30's. And in the rain it's gonna get cold.

Atleast go apply for assistance so you don't have to live in the woods.

It does sound like you need mental help. I would seek that first. You don't want to let that linger as it only gets worse. If you need to go on any kind of meds then do it, there is no shame in that, and it will improve your quality of life.

This wilderness thing makes no sense. Your town, city, and government, charities, and organizations are all there to help you. Tap those resources.

If you're going to be homeless, at least go somewhere warm like Miami or just get a one-way ticket to Aruba or something, so beautiful. Not being cold to death = so much relief.

The $40 tent wont last through a wind storm or if it rains more than an hour it will be soaked through. The tactical tent is a true 4-season tent made with superior materials and fully seam sealed. It can fit 3-adults snugly.

How do you manage to keep getting fired on your first day? Even when I was shooting dope and being a terrible employee in my younger days I managed weeks at time at jobs.

Those people are not as bad as you think of them. Their hearts are wounded. They are living in pain. They are probably better quality people than the most who live in luxury... You'll always find bad among them but many of them are actually good people with right heart and mind. Are you scared living with the homeless people?

No I haven't yet. I still need ideas on what wood stove to get... That's the bigger issue not so much the tent.

As for your other comment, go read your bible (Ecclesiastes).... those that suffer are good people. Those that don't suffer.... have problems actually. God is not pleased with them.

Right now I suggest you talk with a religious leader you trust. If they don't think a monastery is right for you, perhaps you would trust them to guide you to mental health and social services where you wouldn't trust others?

This whole living in the woods might sound like a good idea to you until some unstable homeless guy punches your teeth out so he can steal a can of soup from you. I had your same attitude at one point until my bad decisions landed me in prison. I realized then it was sink or swim. No one but myself was going to pull myself out. I have managed to make a pretty good life for myself. It's time to grow a pair or take your place in the woods fighting with some guy over a bag of aluminum cans.

No I'm not I've been homeless but I was one of the drug addicts. I'm scared for you living with homeless people showing up with camping gear like this is some kind of adventure. Those kind hearted folks will steal your shiny camping gear within the first week.

I don't want to go back to my Mom's house it's so humiliating. Don't tell me to go back to my parents house. My life is so crap...

Mental services would not help me. I don't mind government welfare program so they can write me a check every month. I don't know if I should take that though. I would rather be homeless and not have to worry about this rent and bills... All that huge fines / late fees I have to pay on the rent too. My rent contract ends around this June. I am not gonna renew it and get the heck out of here... throw out all my belongings like bed and other stuff... move to a wilderness and setup a tent.

If they want my can food I give to them... don't have to use violence. Funny thing is that those homeless people in the area I know have better shelter.. their living place is well developed. My camping gear would be inferior to theirs. They are the ones will probably come and offer me help...

Guys,
I can't keep up anymore with rent and bills as I keep losing my job. I'm already 1 month behind on rent and 2 months behind on car payment. I can't pay my utility bills and car insurance.

And I will owe about $4k on my credit card. I will have to terminate rent contract and get out of the apartment very soon... in a matter of few weeks.

I have no choice but to move to the wilderness. I hope to move close to where the homeless people stay at... I have known them for a few years hope that they accept me. I haven't talked to them yet.. planning to go there to talk to them.
I'm thinking of buying a Snugpak bunker shelter tent -> https://www.amazon.com/SnugPak-9289...n+tent&qid=1553134810&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmr0& but I have no idea how to go about setting up a woodstove to be used for heating and cooking. It needs to be protected from rain. How do I go about setting it up and what do you recommend?? Obviously it would have to be setup outside the tent.. I can't even build me a little bunkhouse out of wood pallets cause I have no knowledge or experience building it myself... At least the tent will get me started.

I am in deep trouble financially. I've been suffering from this for the last few years. I hit a wall now.

If this is serious, then that's terrible. I've always thought if I was facing a situation like that I'd take as much cash as I could scrape together and get a one way ticket to Honolulu. There are homeless people that straight up live on a lot of the beaches on Oahu. There are tons of public showers for beachgoers too. Not sure what the actual rules say, but it doesn't seem like they're bothered too much. It never gets lower than the 60's so keeping warm wouldn't be an issue.
