Congrats! Our first was born in September of 2010, #2 is due this August...and as all the other fathers above said...prepare for your life to change.

Ours is two and a half now. OMG I have no idea how someone can be so cute and adorable and sweet and so rage inducing simultaneously. It's like a wife x100.

PS wait for the poo to shoot out the back of the diaper for a few months. It's awesome.

For sure. I am 26 and have never changed a diaper in my life. Ive always been afraid to hold small babies since they are so fragile and what not. Ive got some time to get over my nerves though.

Congrats, first one ? I just had a baby dragon end of last year, so they grow fast. dont buy too much new born or 0-3 month cloth.. my 4 month old is wearing 9-12 month cloth already. I would register for 9-12 month cloth if you're having a baby shower. and buy a few of the 0-6 month as only you can tell how fast they grow.

I had my first child 12-12-12. The first week at home is the hardest because you are so new at this that you don't want to do anything wrong. Just make sure you eat enough every day. It was easy for me to focus too much on the baby and skipping meals and lack sleep did not help.

Baby stage at times is awesome but it also sucks too. The constant crying every couple of hours with the million of bottles that I have to clean and diapers is worst part. I can't wait until she is like 4 or 5 and can under stand what is going and I can do fun stuff with her.

Also just to go any where with your baby add in an extra hour of time. Before I go anywhere I make sure to have the dipper bag packed, baby is changed and a full bottle in her. So we plan the outings around the feedings. Last thing you want is a crying baby on your drive.
