Take one photo a day for everyday of their lives. I wish I had done this. It's amazing how time flies and they grow. I remember when my first was an alien like it was yesterday.

Gotta recommend a clap on high chair over a traditional one. Or maybe one of each.

It's so nice. Our house is small so we don't have lots of room. Regular high chairs take up lots of space and we're always kicking them. This one just clamps onto the table and works really well. Our baby is now about 18 lbs and no issues. I don't remember the weight limit but it'll probably be good for a few more months.

One thing to help you out is you can start buying diapers now in all sizes. If your wife is going to pump we got ours at the hospital and thier price was over $100 cheaper than online prices.

Congrats. Our first was just born on February 8th. Holy cow can these little suckers test your patience.

As your wife plans on feeding, you'll probably get to find out that there isn't a whole lot you can do early on other than change diapers and attempt to sooth the baby when the feeding is done. I've basically become a servant as my wife is stuck in a chair for 30 minutes to an hour at a time.

If you have the ability, I'd suggest arranging possibly separate sleep situations. The whole breastfeeding thing seems to feed them the notion that you simply can't use bottles until they are latching properly. Basically means, you can't do anything when they're hungry. I suppose in a month or so that may change, but I have to say, as a guy, there just isn't much you can do in the first month other than general household things.

Hell not even five. My favorite times with all of my kids is napping on the sofa with them cradled in the crook of one of my arms. Good times!

Don't listen to a damned thing anyone says ... EXCEPT - keep your kiddo on a schedule. Screw all the other advice, that's all you NEED. If you can follow the book Baby-Wise, your life will be better. I never read it, but my wife did and it helped get the buggers on a schedule.

we got a letter the other day. my 6 yr old decided he was going to be a goat all day at school. come to find out all the kids in his class (7 kids in 1st grade class) decided to be animals after lunch and kept makeing noises.

they all got in trouble lol.
