You're not drunk are you? If not, I don't see why not. At least they will not ask you to work tonight.

It's probably better to go in the early afternoon - since pizza places aren't vary busy during those times. BTW - I work @ papa Johns

I work there. The "main" manager is usually gone by 6:00pm.

Go apply before noon. It's usually best when the boss is there.

It's minimum wage with whatever you make for tips. They give you a dollar per run no matter what.

So that means if you take 35 runs, you make $35.00 + whatever tips + your hourly = final pay.

If you figure it out, it comes out to way more than $20.00 a hour.

It's a good "easy" job.

my friend also told me that the tips are divided among the drivers, averaged out basically. is that true?

and the tips, do they count those and deduct taxes and all that or do they basically leave you to do as you wish with it? (tax evasion baby)

What kind of pot r u smoking? You're gonna get minimum wage - plus your tips ($50-$75 a night easily). Trust me - I tried to apply at pizza hut to be a driver, and they only offered me 5.50 (since I have had previous experience) - but Papa johns offers me $6. Starting pay for our new drivers is $5.25 at most.

hey its just what my friend told me, i thought it seemed amazing so i wanted to verify it.

either way, tips seem to make up the big portion of it so i dont care about 5.15 vs. 6.00 or whatever.

The majority of pizza places let you decide on what you want to do with your tips. You can keep them - or have them add the amount to your paycheck.

who would actually want them put in their paycheck????

well i guess it keeps you from spending it that day, but daily money would be awesome! no more trips to the bank when i need money, and no more using checks for EVERYTHING (mcdonalds, gas, everything, it gets annoying, i dont have time to hit the bank before work most of the time, plus it does keep me from spending extra)

btw my friend works there but then again he just started, so who knows where he got that info.

Your friend is smoking pot. You keep your tips. You can "CLAIM" your tips, which means you'll count that as part of your income and pay taxes off it. You don't share your tips and whatnot.

Also it's a great job for the fact that if you get free food. You get a meal everyday.

You can use my advice or pitch it.

I'm a customer of pizza hut delivery. Why? The delivery driver comes to my door excited, ambitious, and complimentary. He earns a 30% tip everytime!

How does he do this?

When he arrives at my door, he's smiling and thanking me, by name, for the order. After he's paid, he thanks me for his tip, then tells me with a smile, "enjoy your pizza and your evening."

Guess what? When I order Pizza Hut, he's the only driver allowed to deliver my pizza.

Approach this job as if it is your career. People will take notice, and your monetary rewards will exceed your expectations. And, the manager will start to question why people are requesting you as their delivery person.

You're not delivering pizza! You're delivering a meal, fun, relaxation, convenience, etc.

Practice these steps and come back to report to us how well you do.

Honestly, it doesn't matter when you apply, the manager isn?t going to consider your application on the spot anyway. What is important is that you fill out everything on the app and print neatly. It makes you appear literate, smart, and responsible, and they?re more likely to call you for an interview. For example, my boss will not call someone who?s application is not filled out completely. I?ve also noticed that the few people who actually turn in a resume (college students do this, mostly) usually get hired.

Good luck.

I'm nice and cute , ha ha, and I make very decent tips. I averaged almost $4 per delivery last night, including my mileage adjustment.
