How does some piece of crap WHEELS actually REDUCE the force? That makes ZERO sense to me. What's actually picking up the slack??

I have to lift this 100kg rock. If I add some facking WHEELS, then SUDDENLY those wheels provide sudden power out of thin space and make it liftable with just 25kg.

What the hell powered 75kg? Is there a combustion?????

I mean, is this a cheatcode? Why make anything outside of this cheat? Why don't you have a child lift empower state building because all you need are these MAGICAL FACKING PULLEYS. Just throw 83743847 pulleys at it and you'll gain infinite power.

It's like a fulcrum but round. The longer the fulcrum, the more you can lift.

Yeah, it's been a long ass time since I was in advanced physics, but I believe it's work= force x length. Or at least in terms of fulcrums. Work can be applied to electricity or temperatures and shit as well. Like a peltier device.

I have to wonder if elevators use the power of pulleys or just straight cable on motor?

Depends how they are configured. If you have a cable with a pulley at the end, and then attach the load to the pully, you need to pull the cable 2x as much for the load to go up a certain height, so it's kinda like gear reduction. In the case of elevators there is also a weight at the other end. I used to play with this stuff all the time as a kid with k'nex. Made all sorts of weird things like a wind powered winch or crane that could pull random loads around. Like I'd stack some of my dad's weights and then stick the fan in front of the wind mill and it would pull the weights up or drag on the floor etc. Meanwhile all the other kids were playing outside with their pokemon cards.

Oh and whatever shaft is putting force on the first pulley kind of acts like a gear too. The pulley is going to be small and the gear that's connected to the other end is probably going to be much larger being spun by a small gear by the motor.

Think leverage, the longer the lever the lower the force needed to do the same work. Ever put a piece of pipe on a really stubborn bolt and had it turn easily? Same thing.

My grandma thought me how to ride. She pushed my ass down the sidewalk, let go and unbeknownst to me I was riding. No training wheels needed.

It's like how I learned how to swim for the first time. I must have been about 5 on a boat and my uncle threw my ass over board and tossed me a giant black inflatable inner tube. I quickly grabbed it and my uncle swam around me and the only fear I had were if fish bite. I remember asking him that too. "Do fish bite?" He replied: "Some do." LMAO!
