How's the new iPad Pro looking?

iPad Pro is fast but how the pen works with the OS has some shortcomings. I bought my wife 10.5 iPad Pro last month along with the Apple keyboard cover and pen. The pen will lose the bluetooth connection if you lay it down for a period. I think the OS does this to conserve the battery life of the pen. So you have to plug the pen back in the iPad to resync. It's really annoying. Plus you can't write to perform Google search with the pen. You can do it with Galaxy Tab S3 which I also bought for my wife last month. The S3 pen also doesn't need charge or batteries. She and I actually prefer S3 pen and its use over the iPad Pro pen. Apple hasn't got the pen use right with the iPad Pro right now. Maybe Samsung just have more experience since they had the pen with their Note phone line.

I bought my wife iPhone X from the Apple store last month. I had to go pick it up because I bought the Verizon version to get the unlocked phone and the superior Qualcomm modem and we don't use Verizon. My wife loves the iPhone X. Honestly, if I could've found Verizon iPhone X in stock at the Apple store last month, I would've bought one too instead of iPhone 8 I bought. It must suck to be poor.

I was just there because my Mom is visiting from overseas, and someone back in the Mediterranean asked her to bring back an iPhone 8 with her. I didn't talk to anybody. The guy in front of us in line was buying an iPhone X with cash. There were tables of people all looking attentively at an Apple employee in a red shirt. I played around with the iPhone X for a minute and got stuck on a screen with no visible back button or home button to press, so I put it down.

It's fine, but it does sometimes have the Best Buy/Home Depot problem where employees bug you when you don't need help and leave you alone when you do need help. Maybe they assume I don't need anything since I'm already messing around with my iPhone X while using an Apple Watch? (I was actually setting up my Apple Watch for the second time after swapping phones because the first attempt failed. )

I do think one thing that Apple really screwed up on with the iPhone X (and the actually do this on a lot of devices) is that there's no app to help teach you all of the new ways to interact with the phone. For example, I had no idea how to kill tasks when one of my apps was acting up, and I had to Google it. The gesture used by all other iPhones no longer works with the X, so I had to find the special new one that did. Why isn't there an app that says "here's all the different stuff"?

Kinda does, means that you can't get that $1000+ phone on a whim.
However, I think you should buy everyone in this thread a $1000 phone, then you can get a taste on how "it must suck to be poor".

You know, if I ever went into a Apple store, I would want to bring with me some tuning forks strictly for testing the resonance frequency on when glass breaks.

I've never actually seen an Apple store IRL. TBH I'm surprised we don't have one here, everyone and their dog has an iphone. I always get weird looks when I say I have an Android. "A what?"
