With the way my parents smacked me around, I learned sh1t quick..

How about taking the markers, crayons, sharpies, everything away for a while.. Tell your kid he can't write on sh!t for a while until he learns where to write.

 for a hard smack on the ass

For the child or the wife?

I would like to hear her side of the story before passing judgement. In the meantime, could you please explain how babies are made?

I would guess that it can be cleaned.

Yeah you're wife screwed up, but you screwed up too when you lost your cool and took your anger out on her.

You ended up in the doghouse and sleeping on the couch for that? Geez. My wife and I have argued over worse and still were in bed together.

Cut the peice of carpet out, take it to some fancy gallery downtown and have them sell it as art. Get $1 million dollars, buy a mid life crisis car, get a trophy 20 year old blonde, dump current wife FTW!

No, seriously, keep your cool. It's not that big of a deal in the long run if you love your wife and kids.

I'd do it just to piss her off. I mean for chrissake, how come guys are never allowed to pull that ******? Make the woman sleep on the couch? Fvck that sh!t. My fvcking bed too.

Let me tell you, I did that once, and that is one cold bed.

Next time just jump into bed, rip a loud one and then whisper into her ear "So...you wanna mess around?"

Funny. I never colored on crap when I was a kid. Never liked coloring though.

Same. And now I envy people with the artistic skill to draw stick figures

To the best of my knowledge, I only ruined some books. I never drew on anything that didn't have paper involved.

The oldest is good about only coloring on things that should be colored on (paper).

The three year old has drawn on the walls, furniture, clothes, and on the carpet. Luckily this has always been with washable markers.

Tonight I am getting ready to go to work, when I see him haul @ss over to the living room with a paper towel and he starts wiping all over the floor.

I walk over and it seems the wife gave him a black sharpie to color with and didn't watch him (even with his history of coloring on everything). She has previously done this with the washable markers as well.

All I see is a four foot straight black line on the carpet with some dots all around it.

I go off on her, and her response is "You are making a big deal out of nothing" and "this is helping right now".

What sucks is we have five months left on our lease (apartment). It looks like my security deposit is now gone.

not your fault. bad mom

reminds me of that guy (duroc?) who's wife bounced checks and incurred $1500 in penalties in Dec. their kids had a LOUSY xmas

What a nice sleep I had...my neck is killing me.

Well, luckily I got most of the marker out of the carpet, however it is still noticeable.

Just to clarify it wasn't a screaming match in front of the kids. The kids went to their rooms, and it was never much of a true screaming match. I just stated what I wanted to say.

I guess why I was so upset (besides seeing the black marker on the carpet) is she has been driving me nuts lately.

She has gotten into a bad habit of staying up and watching TV until like 4am, and she ends up only getting three hours of sleep before she has to go to work (she works part time) or getting up with kids. She has been doing this for six months or so, and she is barely functional the next day......she will go to sleep in less than a minute sometimes when she is sitting on the couch. When this happens the kids will just destroy the house.

I will come in and the house will be destroyed. She will be cooking and she is so out of it, she will let the food boil over and get all over the stove and drip pans (which I always seem to have to clean).

I took several pictures of what it looked like before because she does not seem to see the same things that I do, but I still have two picture left that I did not delete. I deleted out most because it seems to be a fight I can't win.

I have brought it up to her several times, but she seems to think it is ok, and doesn't think it is that bad.

I know they will do things like that, but when she said she gave him the sharpie was when I was upset.

Women do things like that... in the great scheme of things... it is no biggie. google to find out how she can clean it up.

why the hell are you sleeping on the couch?

maker her sleep there if she doesn't want to be in the same bed as you

if she still wants to sleep in the bed so be it, just because you "love" each other doesn't mean she has the right to walk all over you

If you try some things and can't get it out at all, might as well let the kid color on the whole damn carpet then. Going to have to be replaced anyway.

If she's staying up until 4am watching TV...can't you just lay claim to the bed first and force her onto the couch?

I will come home, and every dish in the house is dirty and on the counter. I will ask her how that many dishes got dirty and say that she is not leaving them for me to clean.

She will say "Well you left a plate and bowl for me to clean yesterday"

We have been married for six years, but I don't think I can take much more. I have been trying to do my best for the kids, but I am at a breaking point with her.

That's an interesting reply to my point. I repeat, your wife is very likely to be depressed.

Have things always been like this? You have to three options: 1) run 2) wait or 3) try to help yourself and your wife.

I'm just curious how this works, who decides that you are going to spend the night on the couch? You? Your wife?

I've just always wondered how that works.

Well she went into the bedroom, shut the door, and went to bed. That's how it was decided.

Did you follow?alot of women are messed up like that, when they really want to talk or be with you, they will go somewhere and slam the door then hope you follow. Females are so confusing
