wow! thanx for all the replies. i didn't think i'd get so many insightful comments both funny and serious.
well, for the most part, i don't have control in moving there. it's job-related. and technically speaking, i'm moving to mechanicsburg, but everyone that i've talked to has told me it's like a part of harrisburg area.
what's funny is that my previous supervisor was from PA and he told me there's nothing up there. but i'm actually looking forward to the climate (cold season at least), rich history, and scenic views.
thanx again for all the tips. i know i'll be looking for snow tires when i get up there cuz all i have now is summer profiles. and what's this occupational priviledge tax??

Yueng Lueng is good for a mass produced beer, but in your area is Stoudts Brewery. It is some of the best microbrew I have ever had

mechanicsburg isn't too bad. its pretty much right across the river from harrisburg. there's lots of stores there. 2 malls, at least 1 movie theater. lots of restaurants too.
i used to drive to mechanicsburg every day for work. traffic can be a pain sometimes.
harrisburg adds at least 2 movie theaters, another 2 malls, many more stores and restaurants. lots of clubs in downtown Hbg.
what company do you work for?
