harddrive - SAMSUNG 1TB 7200 RPM

gpu - SAPPHIRE HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB GDDR5

case - cooler master elite 310

supply box - cooler master Thunder 500W

Monitor - AOC e2050S

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
my computer <profanity removed> according to me
there are four reasons and i can not fix them as i already dumped my money into it
so i am here if u guys can give me a possible solution
1) my monitor does not support 1080 p but my gpu does -,- kind of waste of money on gpu
[[question - what mhz of gpu would u prefer if u had 1600x900 resolution monitor :* ? ]]
2) my power supply unit its only 500 w its good but if i crossfire i need to change it
[[question - do u think if i would have put a 900/1300 W psu it would have bottlenecked my pc]
3) my motherboard it only has one pcie express 2 x16 slot -.- the second slot is pcie express 2 x4 and it does not have uefi bios
[[i was getting 2 pcie x 16 and uefi bios in msi motherboard it was just 10 $ more T_T but i bought this one cause my friend and shopkeeper told me to FUK ME]]
3) my gpu its value for money but its not oc edition
[[question - can it be still overclocked ? and does monitor rsolution also bottleneck gpu ?? ]]
4) my processor stock cooler its silent but i have a queston
[[question - can i overclock my processor with stock cooler ?]]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

cause i have already bought and dumped my money into this is there a way to utilise all this ?

what do u guys think according to u does this pc suck too ?

dont laugh at me this is my first pc build T_T and i screwed real bad

Back to the grave for good - AT Mod DAPUNISHER

Why would anybody laugh? Nothing wrong there.

If the machine doesn't do what you need it to do, then you definitely screwed up. You obviously bought without researching and ended up with something that you didn't want.

Now, that being said, exactly what is the machine NOT doing that you need it to do? The graphics card you have is a fast last generation card -- it should provide you with good frame rates on most modern games (especially on your monitor). The 1080p issue isn't an issue with your graphics card, but rather with the monitor you chose. In short, don't worry about it. If it bothers you that much, save some money and upgrade to a nicer monitor in the future.

While AMD CPUs aren't my own personal cup of tea right now, there isn't anything at all wrong with them. You have plenty of memory for a gaming box, and there isn't anything wrong with your selected hard drive. The motherboard you chose does support crossfire for down the road. You may have an issue with the power supply in the future with crossfire -- Cooler Master isn't that great of a brand. However, you can always get a better power supply for cheap after rebate at Newegg down the road when you actually need it.

Concerning overclocking, you are better off doing it with an aftermarket cooler. You can do it with the stock cooler, but the CPU will tend to run hotter. However, you really don't need to be worrying about overclocking at this point (at least, until you learn a great deal more than you currently know about computing).

the machine does everything i want to do
the thing is i can not have 1080 p when my gpu supports it but because of my monitor -.-

and i can crossfire but it will bottleneck
i am thinking to use a dual x8 expansion slot for it if i want to overclock in the future !
and i bought 500 W psu cause that's what gpu box said anyways
i will surely change it if i crossfire

but i heard that using a higher psu when ur cpu does not need it will bottleneck ur pc is it true ??(source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGdo75gasaQ)
thats the reason i bought 500 w -.-

i am happy with my pc it does the job but yes it could have been better !

The PSU does nothing to 'bottleneck' your system (barring not providing enough power.) You do not need some gargantuan wattage PSU, a 750 will probably be fine even in crossfire.

You don't need to crossfire until you upgrade your monitor... and what's wrong with 1600x900 resolution... it's what I have my GTX560ti hooked up to and, for me, it's everything I need. Get a better monitor... then worry about crossfire.

If you are going to overclock, get a better CPU cooler. It doesn't have to be huge, a CoolerMaster 212+ or EVO would be fine.

1080p is 1920x1080. You can never get 1080p on your monitor as the max resolution of your panel is 1600x900. Buying a 2nd identical monitor that you don't like isn't going to improve the situation in any way. Buy a 1080p capable monitor and sell the old one if you want 1080p. Otherwise, buy a 1080p monitor and use the AOC as a 2nd monitor. Either is a valid solution.

My final observation on this thread is this: You are spending way too much time obsessing about what you don't have. Instead, you should be spending more time enjoying your new, decently nice machine.

I definitely agree with Steltek.

That said, acepro71, you might be losing sleep over the 1080p resolution. If you have the money, then by all means get a monitor capable of displaying 1920x1080. The rest of your components are fine.

I have an AMD M5A99FX PRO R2.0 965 BE HD 7850.I have had nothing but trouble with this thing since the day I built it. I build a lot of computers. This one is the worst. I am not a software guy. I tried every driver combo I could think of trying to get the normal bit rate. Not over clocking. Well I really done it this time. I banned myself accidently from my Origin BF3 and 4 account Globally. I was trying to whitelist the punk buster on my Sophos Antivirus. I kept trying to start the game and it kept getting blocked. I was thinking that if PB didn't get the info I would get kicked. It was the same driver over and over. So what do I do, I try to run the .dll from the command line thinking it would start working. I was so tired from working 2 months trying to get the win32 Koo-Koo Sophos virus from my computer. Right after I did that BAM. Banned for Cheathack. I was in shock! I have 1639 hour on my account. I did A LOT of looking for the number they charged me with. I found on a hacking site almost the same STUPID thing I did by trying to get something to work, They hack like that. I never knew what hacker did to cheat. I WOULD NEVER HACK. I am so stupid. I feel sick and dirty. :thumbsdown::'(. As for you, I feel ya. I was top of my class, first in the state, and 6th in the Nation against every college in the US and Porto Rico. But I don't know anything about software. Im a Network Engineer. A very very Stupidd Engineer. So dont give up on it. I'm sure someone will buy it from you and you can get an Intel with a Nvidia. Problem Solved.

Your system is fine, here is what I suggest.

Buy a 1080p monitor and a good aftermarket cooler and a 240GB ssd.

OC the CPU just a little, image HDD and transfer to the SSD or fresh install and use the HDD as storage.

A little OC and an SSD or just even an SSD will improve performance alot.
You could even keep the same monitor. The GPU will be able to handle more fps on the lower res.

Really nothing wrong with your system. I have the same GPU as you and use an i3 4330 with an SSD.

I still don't see what you really want. Is something slow? Does something look bad? Is it too loud? Are games stuttering? Is the screen too small?

Tell us what problems you actually notice, not what you think they are. That is going to be the best way to help us help you.

I run my 8350 @ 4.8ghz but I dont have a stock cooler. I also run 4 monitors, one is a 2560x1080P monitor that I mainly game on using a 290x gpu with 16 gigs of 1600 ram. Really wouldnt take much money to make that rig a little better, and because you have a 4x slot, really isnt going to bottle neck you all that much, you can still use it just fine for right now.

Upgrade your psu, cooler, add another video card, and maybe monitor, overclock to around 4.6, and you'd be rocking away.

Lots of monitors support 1080p even TV's. Finding a fairly nice monitor might be nice. Maybe someone will trade or you can send the monitor back or exchange it for a different model like an upgrade if it is new. If not maybe you can find something on sale. I have 2 TV's at home that are both 1080p.

This is a necro thread from 2013 bumped by Stupidd, and his response has nothing to do with hardware issues. Not sure why it was bumped.
