When I was a student I maxed out 3 credit cards and had my TV from Best Buy on credit.

Hell, I literally just paid for my 1st iPhone from 2007!

I'm still riddled in debt. I have two major loans still to pay off, and possible mortgage soon. BAH! Student loans (about 25k left), and car loan (about 8k left). sigh .

Credit card gets autopaid every month at their due dates. I got my PS3 for ultra cheap thanks to Sony Card, and $25 coupons from Amazon ever 3 months is nice . But those cards get paid every month no matter what.

Congrats. I am in the same boat and am looking on better ways to use my money. I wish I had the smarts to do something more with my money.

create emergency fund based on the volitility of your job situation. longer if unstable, smaller if uber stable.

next step, determine future goals- retirement? house? hookers n blow?
start investing for those goals.

I'll be paying off my credit card bill hopefully after my next paycheck hits my checking account next week. Similar situation, I had racked up a nice sized bill over the past two years in college (an unpaid internship in D.C. didn't help that at all). I still have my student loans to worry about, but having the credit card debt off my back will feel very good.
