Why are you quitting

edit:
Okay got the answer later in the thread. Um... your letter is way too sweetened up. For this situation, considering you haven't worked there very long - I'd just meet with the manager and tell her personally without a formal letter.

i've been there for about a year 1/2. i told her informally but she told me to get her a resignation letter.

good but, I might replace "such as you" with "such as yourself". It just sounds better that way to me, but I have no farkin clue which is grammatically correct.

Effective February 8, 2007, I resign from my position as xxxxxx.

I?ve enjoyed my time working for xxxxx. Although I have had only a short tenure here I would like to thank you for the opportunity provided with (insert company name)
Due to exigent personal circumstances requiring an immediate move out of state, please accept my apologies for not being able to tender a two-week notice of resignation.

Thank you again,

That's what I'd submit. Gets the point across without seeming too superfluous on the compliments. It's fine to use exigent in this situation; just all of the adjectives (superb, wonderful, fine, valuable, etc..) tended to give the notice a poor overall tone.

Also, employers usually don't care about you or the experience or how it will help you get a better job in the future

agreed. the above letter is the only one posted so far that is appropriate

I think my last resignation later was this:

I, Pontifex, am giving my 2 week notice of resignation.

Hey listen up, had it with your sh!t, you got me on pins and needles all day, stressing me out, this job ain't worth it for what you pay to put up with your ****** everyday. Take my position and pack it straight up your ass Im out of here.

You cant leave in the middle of your shift!

Fvcking watch me prick.

Thats how I left the last job I quit. Was the only job I quit, working at a factory making locks for prison cells, as close to slavery I think you could of gotten IMO working for that place and even with the same name as the coffee, Folgers, it was a super sh1tty place to be at.
