i just got back from my cousin's house, we took out her old 486 and played tyrian just like the old days. do you guys remember that game? the overhead plane scroller shooter? i really liked those games like RAPTOR, that was cool. im looking for them again, does anyone know of any newer or any of the classics that are compatible with winxp/2.4 P4? i managed to find tyrian online but it keeps giving me runtime errors . i really miss those games...im pretty sure a lot of you know what im talking about.

Tyrain rules. Still got it (Tyrain 2000). Run it with no sound and in Win98 compatible mode and it should work.

Raptor is similar levels of 0wnage. I've got an old Pentium just for Da Oldskoolen.

Raiden/Raiden II/Raiden Fighters also kick ass.

God do I miss those days. Tyrian and Raptor were by far two of the best games EVER (IMO). I wish they still made top/side scroller's. They have always been my favorite. I personally HATE the fact that they moved everything to 3D. That is the reason the only recent game system I own is a GBA. I would kill for them to make some good new side scrollers. I'll take a side scroller over even the most beautiful 3D game any day.
