Opera 8 has just been released. It's faster than FF and IE.

Always with the insane cultists.

i'm hating the adware already :|

LOL, forget Opera.

Opera is like Intel.

Only hardcore fanboys still use it

i suspect it's gunna get uninstalled very quickly

It is really noticeable tho when u've just changed over

Big deal. OOOOoooOOOooOOoOOOOoOOoOOh I just saved 0.000000000000001 seconds by switching browsers, but lost 27509187091841 kickass extensions and other functional features by switching back to IE! Yay me!

Leave the switching to Geico and stick with FF.

In my experience, it's the FF users who are elitist.

There are three things FireFox does that I like: tabbed browsing (not even preferred but I use it when it's available), searching (ctrl-f is much nicer than IE), and allowing you to download embedded content. The last one is the only reason I even have FireFox installed. Until I can set a new window or tab to be an exact copy of the previous window or tab (loads the same page with the same history), I won't use it. It may be silly, but that's what's valuable to me.

When I want tabbed browsing and other features, I use Maxthon. Maxthon > FireFox any day.

IE takes forever to boot on my machine, it hangs on a very many pages, and crashes.

Probably my fault for not maintaining my install properly.

But I use Opera now.

Aight, dug, try this:

Open Firefox 1.0 and type about:config in the address bar

1. Find network.http.pipelining and double click on it so it = true
2. Find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests doule click on it and change it from 4 to 8
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

I'm amazed by the trunk builds. Sure, some of the extensions don't work yet, but it is very fast and has numerous bug fixes (Slashdot, IGN, etc), albeit still containing regressions of its own.

Use it for a few days. Customize the interface. Experience its speed and many cool features. Get the keygen and get rid of the ads.
