I just bought PSLs for the Titans and got season tickets for 2008. I'm ready.

Titans are scheduled to play Indianapolis for MNF. I'm totally going to be there.

That would mean Manning vs Manning. . .said the Giants fan.

Whoever said I hated football? I like football. College football only.

That makes no sense. Didn't you got to Duke?

Yes, but college football is just so damn exciting. Even at Duke there's a buzz in the air on gamedays.

Whats the buzz in the air? Another 13 weeks of ass kicking? Another lame duck season that no one outside of Duke could care less about?

Theres a reason why "Duke Sucks" is the oldest cliche on Fark. And douchebags like you are just confirming that fact

Depends on seeding. Chargers cant beat Pats but Colts cant beat Chargers.

Miami was so bad so they have nothing to lose this year. Maybe .500?

Not sure the Tuna is the answer in the front office. He didn't win the big one lately <none at Cowboys and Jets>...we will see.

Dolphins and Chiefs seemed to have a good draft, it'll be interesting to see what the Tuna puts on the field considering what a clusterfuck Miami has been lately.

Of course the Pats* (remember that? Lol, I won't do that this year.) have a stupidly easy schedule again this year.

Cowboys really need a good season and a SB or at least NFC Championship appearance, they've had the talent to get there the last 2 years, especially last year.

I hope my Colts get their offensive line worked out, we should really have one of the most complete teams in the NFL at this point. I have nothing against San Diego personally, but we really owe the Bolts a beating after the crap performances the last few games against them.

I'm excited to see how Adrian Peterson fares this year.

Ugh is it only April?

Go Chargers?

Bolts FTW!

Especially can't wait for football since the Padres are stinking it up this year.
Time for payback against the Pats......

The Cowboys are a TON of potential this year. All they really lost in the offseason was Julius Jones, who has underwhelmed as of late, and they replaced him with the more capable Felix Jones in the draft. The biggest weakness was the defense, and there they added a CB in the first round, Pacman (say what you will, if he is reinstated, he's a very competent corner and a GREAT return man), and Zach Thomas. Thomas isn't a huge upgrade from Ayodele, obviously he's getting up there in years, but they have 2 years ago's 1st round choice Bobby Carpenter ready to step in, and Thomas will be a great leader/mentor to all the young players there.

I'm disappointed they didn't add a WR in the draft. T.O. can still play at as high a level as any, but he ain't gettin younger, and Terry Glenn has certainly lost a step (if he even makes it onto the field).

Oh well, can't be perfect. Should be an interesting year.

(oh and don't worry, the predictions will come later in the summer)

Screw the NFL...it's all about NCAAFB.

Heh, being a long time dissapointed Saints fan, I'll agree, bring on the NCAAFB! *I'm LSU Alumni*. I always found the atmosphere at the LSU games in Baton Rouge much more exciting and robust, even over New Orleans party city atmosphere.

FYI, the Saints are cursed! True fact: The superdome was built over a old graveyard. (that and reggie bush is on the team)

Didn't know there were any Viking fans on ATOT. I hope that with an actual receiver and the addition of Jared Allen, could make them pretty decent..

Adrian Peterson 2,000 yard season here we come!

Heh, I thought I was the only one.

Pretty happy with the D and the running game of course, I just hope Jackson can get the ball to Berrian.

KT

SKOL,VIKINGS!

SKOL indeed, that makes 4 of us. I'm actually really happy with the Allen trade and willing to give T-Jack a chance. I actually have fewer worries about him than I do about our esteemed coach (effectively pulling AP in the second half of the 1st GB game convinced me he should not call plays). One of my bigger worries would be if Williams, Williams and Winfield get upset because of the huge payday that Allen got.

With respect to your last point I read a similar comment from Peter King in his column this week. It's an interesting note, but hopefully the team will be winning and they will all just suck it up. Money is money though...

HELL YES! I can't wait for opening day at the new stadium. I'm in the 4th row of my section this season, which is exciting since I was 21 rows back previously.

If Freeney and Mathis can stay healthy I think our D is all set. We have solid LBs, the best (IMO) secondary in the league, and a fast and strong front 4, especially if Pitcock raises his game and Brock and Johnson continue to play to a high level.

Offensively, hmm. Manning, Wayne, Addai, Clark, a top 5 O-line, Gonzales, and if we're lucky Marvin Harrison will be back to his old self.

Special teams will never be good. I've come to accept this.

edit: Hey VIKINGS fans, what's the deal with Chester Taylor? Is he still with you guys? It seems like such a waste having a good back like him playing backup to Peterson. But if there are no trade options and he's under contract I guess there's not much to do about it.

Thanks for passing on Mendenhall and Sweed, Pitt and their fans are very happy to have gotten both. Great draft for them, of course not as good as their 1974 draft but then again that was easily the best draft of any team in NFL history, bar none.

Who was the Pats fanboi who claimed my statement that the Pats had the easiest schedule next season was proof of my football ignorance? I guess he is repeating the "you know nothing about football" into a mirror.

Speaking of the Steelers and the Choketriots:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/ne...apes&prov=ap&type=lgns

NEW YORK (AP)?Former Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh sent the NFL eight videotapes that show New England violated league rules by recording opposing coaches? playcalling signals.

The tapes sent to the NFL show the Patriots recorded signals against Pittsburgh in the 2002 AFC championship game.

?We?re not going to comment,? said Stacey James, the Patriots? vice president for media relations.

Reminds me of claims made by Hines Ward:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports...09-12-1294083353_x.htm

Steelers' Ward suspected Patriots spying

Ward is certain the Patriots, while known for the thoroughness of their scouting under coach Bill Belichick, had some kind of unusual help before their 24-17 upset victory in Pittsburgh in the January 2002 AFC championship game. The Patriots went on to win the first of their three Super Bowls.

"Oh, they knew," Ward said Wednesday. "They were calling our stuff out. They knew, especially that first championship game here at Heinz Field. They knew a lot of our calls. There's no question some of their players were calling out some of our stuff."

Looks like Hines was right. They did need to cheat in order to win that game, and still only won by one score lol.

The N*w E*g*a*d P*t*i*t*.......

College football, LMFAO, nothing like watching a college game where 1-2 guys that might make it to the NFL with no guarantee of ever playing "compete" against 100+ guys who have no chance of even getting worked out by an NFL team. It would be like watching minor league baseball instead of the guys good enough to make it to the pros lol....

As for Mendenhall, I think that worked out for both team. Dallas benefits more from Feix Jones, Pittburgh benefits more from Mendenhall. I would have preferred Dallas take Sweed though...or SOME sort of a WR....oh well.
