IM Software that combines them all in ONE program!!

This was jsut passed on to me from a friend but I hadn't heard of it before so thought I'd pass it along here.

There's a new program called Trillian that lets you connect to ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and IRC in a single, sleek and slim interface. And best of all, it's FREE.

Might help those people with friends using all the different IM programs to help consolidate.

Dude where you been? lol I was a late adopter and I have been using it for a long time.

It rocks for people like me who has friends (and I use that term lightly) who refuse to use one or the other IM's.

Also if you tried it before and then bailed....try the new v7's and up.

AOL just started blocking Trillian in the last few days.

I wasn't very impressed by the original Trillian. It's skin didn't look very good and it had some connectivity problems, and took some getting used to.

The latest version has a great looking skin and connects to everything with no problem. AOL started blocking Trillian again last night... by this morning the folks at Cerulean had a fix ready to go.

I've been using Trillian for a couple of months myself, and I love it! It is really convenient, and although it takes a little getting used to it it completely worth it. The newest version does have some of the AOL buddy features like buddy icons and direct connect. Try it, you'll like it!

I'm sorry, but I support Rally1 on this. If we were to bump to the top and have long continuous threads on all the "cool programs" then there wouldn't be any hot deals for the first couple pages. I'm glad that people enjoy sharing their finds with others, be it new or old, but this is really not the place. You can post in the "software, applications and games" forum if you'd like, or even in off-topic.

Not new, but very good, and only getting better. Buddy Images are now supported, as well as chats and a whole bunch of other stuff. Yes, AOL is restricting it, but the good folks at cerulean studiso are working hard to keep Trillian users going. Although the new thing is totally inaccurate.
