I'm switching to Sprint

i'm liking this phone a lot. very speedy and i'm loving the keyboard. the display is quite nice. lots of options on XDA already too

the slider hinge annoys me though.. it feels wobbly at times and i'd prefer something that keeps it more secure. also, the volume rocker and power button are oddly placed.

overall, probably the best option for me on sprint. the evo was too big for me, the epic had shitty software, and both had terrible battery life from what i've heard. i've had excellent battery life with the shift thus far.

oh, and wimax speeds were good whenever I had coverage:

(I know the server is Wichita, Kansas, but I was in Los Angeles. I couldn't find LA on the server list.)

Cool, thanks for the update, since im looking for a new sprint phone also. Whats the battery life like and your general usage?

with moderate usage I can easily get through the day with roughly 30-40% battery life left. that's with 3g and sometimes turning on the 4g radio when i knew i had coverage.

i haven't tried running it with the 4g radio on all day. i'll try it and report back to you guys.
