I'm the BEST MAN, please help

So I'm the best man at this up coming wedding...

Only problem is, the bride is very adamant that all the groomsman have the same color as the bridesmaid (who are wearing a bright red)

Pretty much we'll have to wear a bright red vest... I don't want to wear a red vest... so she says if I can find research that a best man can wear a different color that she'll let me have a black vest or something "less" red.

Curious if there's a scape-goat for me in all this?

Just wear red. Like some have said, it doesn't matter what color you want or don't want to wear. You are lucky enough to be chosen as the best man, so appreciate that and respect the wishes of the people making it possible for you to become the best man. I agree. The most important mission as a best man is hiring good strippers.
Ignore the vest issue, you don't want to offend a bride.

As has been stated already in this thread, wear the red vest and say nothing more about it. Otherwise, you will be "that guy" that didnt want to cooperate with the bride and she will forever hate you and create problems for your friend when you want to hang out with him...

Gotta go with the red . . . .

but what you can do is steal the groom's shoes right before the wedding. Paint *help* on the bottom of the left shoe and paint *me* on the bottom of the right shoe.

When you help him get dressed don't let him see the bottom of the shoes. If they kneel down for a prayer at the close of the vows all the people attending the wedding will see the bottom of the shoes and roar with laughter. The bride and groom won't have any clue what's going on!

I've actually talked a preacher into adding the 'kneel-down' so we could prank the bride and groom . . .
