I'd save half of windfall, and spend the other half on a used WRX non-STI.

uhm... smart move.

heh. everybody makes mistakes.

The STi is a hell of a car. If you want a raw monster then you're looking at the right beast.

STI or Lancer EVO OWNZ the M3

That may be true, but EVO really is one ugly a$$ car. WRX / STi I love.

Anyone interested in getting strut bars and gauges for their WRX, PM me. I work for a Part company

Part of posting on ATOT during work

I would put my money into M3 though.

you have no idea what you are talking about.

2001 is still the 240 horse version yeah? Some guy tried show off to me in one those. He couldn't get anywhere on me.

Now, current M3, not 100% sure either way. IIRC its close.

the new V8 M3 will own pretty much everything. not sure about the current vs an STi...

For those that dont like the looks of the Suburu's, they looked about 100x better after I got the opportunirty to sit in an drive one.....

Agreed on point points (tho I've always liked the way the Subarus looked). After I drove an Evo, however, damn, that car looked 10x better.

Do both. Bank the money and finance the STi zero-down at today's ridiculously low interest rates.

all 99-04 3 series are E46

edit: should be 01-04

instead of a NEW sti. check out a 98-2000 and use the rest of the money for mods. the new sti's i dont think are worth it. not when you can do the things you can do to the 99's and 2000s

you would also have about 10k left over which is good

really, i give a 98-99 wrx so much more respect then a new one, most of the 'new' subaru owners just jumped on the bandwagon.

edit: AND WHY THE FVCK DO PEOPLE STILL CARE HOW A CAR LOOKS?!?!? does looks make it drive any faster? thats such a ricer mentality to me. "the evo looks better" "no the sti looks better" grow some taste and like the cars for how the preform and dont hate for how "fugly" you think it is, whats the last car you designed?

Uhh... do you have the slightest clue what you're talking about? There are no 98-2000 WRX's or WRX-STi's in the US. The WRX didn't become available for sale in the US until mid-2001 as a 2002 model and the STi not until mid-2003 as a 2004 model.

That edit you added is truly amazing.
I suppose your girlfriends don't have to be in any way attractive, as long as they can run fast.
Different strokes man...
and for the record... I would never buy the sti/evo. They are ugly as sin econoboxes with ridiculous spoilers. The e46 M3 is all class, and beautiful inside and out.
