I'm waging a war on mosquitos starting this summer - what are best methods in your exp?

They usually appear when your space (backyard) is overrun with violent crime, endemic corruption, and psychotic super-villains.

Dude, save yourself some time. Apparently mosquitoes all propagate in the same exact place at the same time every single day. If you map out those specific places in your neighborhood, you can work with your friends and kill all the mosquitoes at once.

Suggestions on how to do that? I'd be happy to hit them with my burgess fogger.

I talked to someone who had one of those propane mosquito catcher things and they said it worked well. They can cover like an acre but will pull mosquitos from everywhere so he said put it far away from where people are. After the first year of use, he said he didn't have mosquitos at all.

There's always the more manual approach, which might be more satisfying.

So I'm about day 5 with the UV light lamp.

It's amazing. I don't get tons of kills like some people do nearby woods. But every night we get about 20-40~. About 80% of dead things are mosquitos so I'm very happy with that rate when people complain the lamp does more harm. And rest are really small gnat like flies.

So, do I actually get stung less? The answer is YES, but I still get stung.

But it's a VAST improvement. Last summer, going outside for 20 mins+ meant, you're guaranteed to get 2-6 bites.

So far, with this thing on, it's only about 0-2 bites. I'll take it.

And I haven't even sprayed the mosquito lawn killer yet.
