Yea, I was always a bit uncomfortable in the last few checkups at my wife's final check ups when her male gyno was checking her dilation.

And of course I saw down there during the birth, was an amazing thing and my brain was smart enough to disconnect that sight from the pre and post delivery down there.

got back from the hospital around 1am last night. thankfully, baby Jeeebus (#2) decided to stay put for now.

I know the feeling Jeeebus. At about 5 months, my wife got very uncomfortable (I will not expand further) and we took a trip to the hospital. Of course a male doctor was on site, so I had to sit there while he jacked her open (I now get why some of my friends refer to it as a spoon jack) and take a look. Not the most comfortable thing for a husband. I was up at the head, so I didn't see much (nor did I want to).

There was one good part though: when they came in with the spoon jack (speculum I believe though I'm not googling that at work) they also came in with a flashlight that looked like this. Of course the first thing that ran through my head was hiking through some enormous cavern in which such a large flashlight would be required, so when they actually did use it to get a better look under my wife's hood I had a good chuckle to myself.

My wife did not appreciate the cavern reference....

Edit: My wife's currently 31 weeks, so maybe we can get baby actuarial and baby jeeebus #2 to make a 'stay put' pact?

My wife is at 30 weeks and the Dr. hasn't had any looks under the hood yet. Thankfully she hasn't had any "discomfort" that might cause any problems.
