No JimMc, you are not missing a thing! That?s exactly what you should think. Yes all the blocks from mini-teams go to TA just like anybody else?s. Mini-teams tend to motivate within themselves and that is what increases production. Individuals are motivated often too and usually find someone to compete against that is close to them or they know. That motivates them.
Mini-teams also have a little rivalry that goes on, all in fun mind you, but it helps increase overall production. It also allows for a strategy to be utilized concerning all members of the mini-team vs. individuals utilizing what they have at their disposal. What I mean is they are the same thing, just different level because it involves multiple people instead of one. It's all for fun and something else to do that makes it more fun for some that like it.
I think the major problem is that some folks have worked long and hard to be positioned on some stats board and then a band of folks cracking together go blowing by them and they somehow feel it isn't fair. If it were an opposing tem it wouldn't matter, but because it is within TA it does. Mini-teams have changed some aspects of TA there is no doubt about that, but it really hasn't changed anyones position that is cracking by themselves, the cracker above and below him are still there.
If you want to join a min-team I would talk to them (members) and see what they are all about. Then choose. Each one started for a different reason, some have themes and others are just a bunch of close friends that decided to give it a go.
Most of all, HAVE FUN!
