How long would you last? These children are labeled as special needs students who have behavioral and emotional disorders. They come from the poorest and most dangerous neighborhoods in America.

The amount of cursing that these children do is insane. The disrespect towards teachers is staggering.

I've worked with this population before. I feel really bad for these children, and I know that most people don't understand the difficulties these children face daily.

You need a thick skin and a ton of patience.

There's no way I could do it. My skin is thick enough that I think I could handle being disrespected by some screwed up kid, but dealing with them everyday and knowing their home situations would just kill me.

The Coach is an amazing human being. I have some sympathy for all the kids. I think most kids would like to be happy and well adjusted, but these kids die was cast before they were born.

We have an entire nation of pussies and kids (heck and adults) that need a GOOD ass whoppin.

Little bit of physical harm goes a LONG way. I come from a country where fighting was a daily occurrence, and teacher/parent discipline was a norm.

I appreciate it all and I think it went a long way to teach me a lesson.

Here in US, I see whole bunch of kids and adults that simply need a GOOD ass whopping. I think every man needs it every now and then. Just to keep us in check/reality.

When I came to this country I could not believe how weak most kids were.

Don't even get me going on the types that paint picture of "being hard core"....god, those are the weakest ones and usually you see their real side when it's time to walk.

And don't get me wrong, there is some/plenty that walk to walk as well, but the ratio is small compare to rest of the world IMO.

When I was a teacher's aide my job was to take a 5th grader who was classified with behavioral and emotional disorders out of the classroom and we played sports. We attempted to bring down his energy level because he was so disruptive in the classroom. The problem with this approach was he wasn't in class and was missing classroom time. His mom complained so we abandoned this approach.
