More like the global technological progress putting a downwards pressure on wages of uneducated workers for the past 40 some years.
It's widely accepted that technoglogy is displacing the menial jobs due to lower costs (tig welding robots on assembly lines etc. ), which just lowers the demand for low skilled labor.

O/P you should look into public policy and economic research before you start spouting the whole evil corporations and robber barons bullsh!t

I think blacks and hispanics are more likely to commit crimes because they are more likely to be poor, and poor people are more likely to commit crimes.

Now as to why minorities are poor, that seems like a very complex question that needs to take into account how they started out in this country, the changing attitudes towards the poor, modern economics including outsourcing of unskilled labor, etc, etc. I think simple explanations like "black people are lazy" or "the white man is keeping them down" are really missing a lot of the details.

Our system is a reflection of the level of consciousness of the voters who created it. The majority of those are and where white. Everybody votes in their own self interest even though they have no idea what it really is.

Why doesn't America find it more embarassing that a pissant country like Mexico overtly breaks the laws of the US by encouraging immigration, and the US takes it year after year without doing anything about it? Up to the highest levels of gov't in Mexico they encourage the influx of two million illegal, unskilled labourers into the US. For a country that thinks highly of itself it really takes a lot of crap from Mexico.
