I've had issues with OM and rebates before. Anyone know if they'll honor this (who's not too lazy to call)? I'm printing out the rebate form just in case.

I've had no issues with OM rebates. Actually their one of the best
companies as far as rebates go IMHO.

BUT.

I have had problems with Staples/Mitsubishi rebates and of course TigerDirect and
Computer Geeks rebates. I feel like I straight up just got scammed to he11 with the
TD and computer geeks rebates. The Staples/Mitsubishi is just taking awhile I think.

I just picked up a couple of Imation +R 25pks from OD last week. These are good discs 4X RICOHJPNR01.

Someone else reported the -R as being G03s.

Sounds too good to be true. Willing to bet you don't get both $15 rebates. However, as it has been noted the +R discs are RICOHJPNR01 4X discs and are quite good. $19.99 is a very good price, but it's still worth the effort to send all the rebates and see what happens. The -R discs are Ritek G03 2X discs.

Hello.... One rebate is an instant rebate. So there is only one rebate to send in. The price online is 34.98 with a $15 mail in rebate. Makes it $19.99.... Seems pretty straight forward to me. So both rebates will fly.

I don't think the double MIR will work. They're both on the same form but with different dates. I think if you checked off the 2 items on the rebate form, they'd be looking for 2 UPCs. But its still worth a shot I guess. Even if only one goes through, you still get the spindle for $20, which is still a good price.

Umm, it's not like that. One MIR is for the +R discs, one is for the -R discs. IR never disqualify MIRs and advertised "after rebate" prices always validates double rebates

I have the 1300 also. Always get the +. They will always burn at 4x. With the - it is a gamble if they will burn at 1,2 or 4x. Imation, Memorex, Verbatim and Fuji + are usually always the Ricohs, which are the best media.

So anyone reading this thread want think some of us are idiots in regard to the rebates for this offer, the original poster had listed this deal as $49.99 - $15IR - $15MIR - $15MIR = $4.99. He has since edited his post. So obviously previous posters were not claiming that they wouldn't get the IR and the MIR, they were claiming that you would not get bothe MIRs in addition to the IR. Looks like he could have left the original information intact and added an edit note instead of confusing the situation by changing it altogether.

That's just because the +R consortium shoved it down peoples throat. I'm not saying either is better than the other, both have positives and negatives, but +R being the overall winner is all about marketing and not about technology superiority.

The thing to remember is this isn't another beta vs. VHS format war. Both +R and -R disks are widely compatible with the existing base of DVD players. Whichever format you choose to burn, will have the exact same compatibility years from now. As long as blank media remains available, either format is going to be just fine.

Imation does not make these discs. The +Rs are RICOHJPNR01 4X discs and the -Rs are Ritek G03 2X discs. The fact is there are hardly any discs made that are better than these. Of course it would have been nice if they were using the Ritek G04 4X discs for the -Rs.

maybe i'll get a 1 DVD+R and 1 DVD-R, but the DVD-Rs are either RitekG03s (1x) or CMC, which isn't very good.
