The article started out alright, but it didn't take long to turn to crap. The whole God part was mostly irrelevant, except for maybe a few points. Throwing shits over "In God we trust" in the classroom is wrong, but so are Christian educational agendas. You can't outright deny what this country was founded on, and likewise you can't shove every last detail this country was founded upon down people's throats either. Class prayer is acceptable in communities where religion is a strong foundation, anyone who wishes can respectfully decline to participate. Actually teaching religion is inappropriate.
As far as immigration, illegal immigration needs to be cracked down upon. Legal immigration is all good. The national language here is English, and English it shall stay. I don't want to see roadsigns or anything like that in English. If you want to live here, you should learn English. Anything the government does should be done in English. In many ways I frown upon businesses doing things in non-English, but I don't think it should be discouraged in any way. They should be free to cater to whatever market they choose.
Many minorities complain about the lack of integration of their culture or society, which in many ways is true, but it is equally true that they freely segregate themselves into their own communities and make little effort to mesh with or add to current American society/culture. PC liberals thinking they are doing good by treating minorities like special kids on the shortbus does NOT help, it only makes the problems worse. If they are Americans, treat them like Americans. If you're not going to treat them like Americans, then they certainly shouldn't get priviliges above Americans.
And finally... if stars and stripes offend you, then get the hell out. this is THE flag of THIS country, the one you CHOSE to live in. If you have a problem with it, you clearly have no business being here.
The author of the article severely weakened his argument by claiming he has nothing against immigrants and following up later by saying OUR country. That doesn't cut it, it's the immigrants country too (as long as they're legal). It should be OUR (us & immigrants) country, not OUR (us) country with immigrants living in it.
