Let me see, today is 16/4/14, which is 14/4/16 backwards. Nope. Oh silly 'Merica, dates go from smallest to biggest in the civilized world.

But if you have digital files you start with the year for sorting otherwise you have to create folders for each year:

2014.03.17
2014.03.18
2014.04.17

better than

17.03.2014
17.04.2014
18.03.2014

My computers better than yours then. It manages to get the date sorting order right whatever format I use.

we should just all use ISO 8601 Date, no confusion whatsoever. Putting year at the end leads to confusion.

Actually, biggest to smallest makes the most sense.

Whenever I date a file on a computer, I do 2014-04-17 because it's easier to sort.

In speech or in text, 4/17/2014 because America is better than Europe in every way. Including the Imperial system. Yes, I said it.

If metric is so good, why aren't you on metric time? Fuck you.

Metric time?

Metric time?

It's not such a wierd idea.

Your computer uses it, and if you watch some sports you kind of use it as well.

Our measuring of time is fucked up. It's all a bit random until we get down to seconds then we switch to the metric system.

You remind me of a toddler blurting out "goo, goo, goo" at the dinner table who then thinks he's joined the adult's conversation.

So many of your posts are little more than immature annoyances. You're not as special as your Mom constantly told you you are.

Now STFU or I'll slap you right out of your highchair, Buttons.

Haha, this is great. I'm going to remember this one (modified slightly) next time I need to chew out a Private

Palindromic, yes.

I at first thought you might be wrong, as I thought ...
4/14/14 is NOT the same as 14/14/4

But 4/14/14 = 41414
Read from left to right, or from right to left, is the same.

11/11/11 at 11:11:11 a few years ago, is still my favourite.

11/11 is my birthday. So on that day, I had a badass party!

Which is dumb because it throws-off digital sorting. In the future, all dates should be represented as: YYYY-MM-DD

I already do this whenever I'm naming a file.

At the very least MM-DD-YYYY keeps months sorted together.

Congratulations!

But I pity anyone who was born at 11:11 AM that day, as who will believe that their full date of birth is:

11/11/11@11:11:11 (11th November 2011, at 11:11 AM and 11 seconds) ?

(To make matters worse, they could be 1 of 11 children, live at a house numbered 11,111 AND believe 11 is an unlucky number).
