Importing bookmarks

I just built a new computer and I'm curious about how I can carry over my bookmarks.

My new build has a new SSD for the OS, but I'm using my old HDD in my new build - all of my old files are accessible.

I figure I should have exported Opera bookmarks before I changed things up, but I forgot.

How can I access my old bookmarks into this fresh install of Opera? I tried to import them, but I couldn't find anything on the old drive within the old Opera files.

Opera stores the Bookmarks in:

C:\Docs and Settings\User Name\App Data\Opera\Opera\bookmarks.adr

Just copy them from the old drive and paste it into the same folder on the
new computer and you should be good. It is a good idea to Export your bookmarks every so often, like monthly to a seperate location. I do this as
both .adr for Opera and also as .html for Firefox

Are you talking about the "old" C drive when you give that link?

If so, I don't see any Docs and Settings at all. Just

SwSetup
Temp
Users
Windows

The old Opera is in Program Files, though there's no old bookmarks.

I installed a new Opera, but on the SSD so it shouldn't have over-ridden anything..

I also tried to get creative and boot from my old drive since it still has the old Win7 on it, thinking I could export it still. BIOS allowed the option, but reverted back to the new install on the new SSD. What's more interesting is that I went further into BIOS after to see if I could force it to boot from the old HDD. While it lists the HDD as an option at POST to boot from, within BIOS it only lists the SSD and DVD - the HDD isn't an option. And BIOS is definitely seeing the HDD when I look at the SATA data.

Yes, the old drive where it was installed before. Look under Users\Your User ID\App Data\Opera\Opera\Bookmarks.adr ... that is where Opera normally keeps the bookmarks. Or do a search for Bookmarks.adr .. it should be in there someplace ... You may need to set Windows Explorer to Show Hidden and System Files.

You can copy more than just your bookmarks from opera. You can copy everything and make it look just like your old one.
