Questions:
1. Do you see any bottlenecks?
2. What do you think of the GPU- is it good price/performance, does it make sense with this build?
3. I'm over budget- what would you change to save $?

For starters, do you need a non-stock cooler? Not familiar with AMD stock coolers, but Intel ones allow for some good overclocks without getting hot.

the only way i see to cut money, other than going to a dual core processor or slower video card (i'd stick with what you have), is to drop the aftermarket cooler. use the stock one for awhile and maybe even see how it does with a mild overclock (i've gotten an extra 750mhz out of my C2D with a stock cooler). i don't know how much i'd trust that freezer with that mounting solution, but people seem to like it. i'd wait and buy something like a dark knight with a back plate (yeah, you gotta pull the mobo). you could also get a cheaper am2+ mobo and ddr2, but it's not huge savings, and i like the idea of having the most forward compatibility with AMD's line.

That's what I needed to hear. Thanks guys! I'll probably ditch the freezer and then take the plunge. I appreciate the review, it makes me feel a ton more confident that I'm not going to screw this up.

For only $50 more or so, you can grab a 22" monitor. Pair it with some half-way-decent $20 speakers, and it should give you much more viewing / listening pleasure.

Other than that, it looks solid to me.
