finished a neural networks class last semester. by far the most interesting class i have had. the book we used was completely theoretical though and was very difficult to understand. luckily the prof knew his shit and could filter out the bs found in the book. great class but very difficult.

My graduate algorithms class was a mindfuck. The professor was a hardcore balls-to-the walls MIT graduate. One of the most difficult CS classes that I have had, made the undergrad one look like a happy day in the park.

The AI we are learning isn't really what is used in games for the most part. Game AI is generally much simpler. It's used in stuff like computer vision/image recognition, voice recognition, etc. And also very complex business logic. Most game developers wouldn't go anywhere near neural networks,
