I like Ecco. Sure they are a little expensive, but they last a long time; far longer than any Sketchers I have owned.

Funny you say that, I don't know anything about Ecco but I have noticed my skechers have always held up very well. I bought 2 pairs at christmas 2 years ago. Wear them daily, both don't have a single busted seam anywhere. Previous pair of Skechers I had for I think, 2 years as my only shoe? I'd say that's pretty good for 40 bucks.

Am I the only one that buys a pair of ~$100 shoes twice a year? My feet are still growing so I replace them quicker, but I tend to buy either nike or that other one that stats with a......
But sketchers knit is really soft. I luv dem.

I've yet to find a pair of Sketchers that weren't horrible in fit.

Clarks, on the other hand, sinfully comfortable.

Clarks gave me PF, felt like there wasn't enough arch support. Skechers seem to be friendlier to my foot type.

But they aren't the most durable shoes. The soles of my model is sort of thin and soft, so I'm getting lighter weight and comfort, but they last less than a year. I do walk a lot though.

you are seriously the only person who has ever said anything bad to me about those shoes.

Eccos are great shoes. Most Comfortable shoes I own..
I like the style of Sketchers, but they don't last long for me.. The leather started to crack on all of them..

My favorite are still Doc Martins..

FYI: All of my shoes are dress shoes..
I have 3 pairs of Eccos
2 pairs of Sketchers
5 pairs of Doc Martins.

Big fan of sketchers, particularly when I can get a pair for under 40 bucks. I go through about 2 pairs in a year, but I do that even with really good shoes since my feet absolutely reek... I can sweat in a pair of shoes 1-2 times, but after that they have to be kept outside and not worn for anything other than sports.

I bought a pair of Sketchers sneakers with the memory foam a couple of years ago. Super comfortable and light weight. But on the downside, they don't last that long.

"don't last very long" is an understatement

I think the "memory foam" is only called that because of how quickly it remembers the shape of your foot. There's no bounce back to that foam, and support is all but gone in a couple months.

Verily. Just glorified slippers nowadays. They should categorically cut prices to $33 because that's what Skechers shoes are now worth.

I'm sure Skechers makes a ton of money by switching to lower quality materials. Feeding us crap - while hyping comfort. Well, newsflash Skechers, we'd MUCH RATHER have quality over extra comfort. If we wanted slippers we'd buy slippers. Give us our money's worth - primo materials/assembly at current prices. It's never been cheaper to manufacture shoes so give us quality at affordable prices. YOU can DO it. Only thing stopping you is greed.

I bought 2 pair of Skechers Energy Burst, most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. Even over Ecco, have tried some Mephisto's also, these things were seriously above anything else comfort wise. The bad this, even one pair I only used for cycling, the soles got groves in them from the pedals. So I can testify for some of them not lasting, I think I got 6 months before the main pair had the soles down to a smooth texture. I have had others from them that didnt have issues wearing out, but lets just say, I wont find myself looking to buy them again.

I have been buying skechers for a few years. I have a wide foot, and they fit better than anything I've found for a reasonable price. They last me about 3-4 months. I get the memory foam ones, was sticking with the goflex models. I'm on my feet much of the day(most days).

well, there's a reason you can get 2 pair of Sketchers for $50-60 at their various outlets.

I miss those, by the way. Sketchers outlets kept my feet cheaply enclosed for a decade and more.

Thanks, I'll check them out if I can find locally. I have a hard time finding shoes that comfortably fit my foot.
