careful about overstock, they still have yet to send my return label..this after 5 emails, 2 phone calls and a live chat...it should never be this difficult to return something.
Make sure you test that volume knob..tap on it..turn it up and down often..mine was defective and caused popping, cracking, and humming.
Okay it's been 2 days. Day 1 was great, except at night I had to push the volume button in or else left rear would pop and crack at crazy volume levels. Still worked for the most part. Day 2, I turn the speakers on and everything sounds like it's exploding. Messing with the volume knob might stabilize it for a bit, but it's going to blow my eardrums out. Contacting Justdeals now for a return.
Latest update: after e-mailing Justdeals, they replied and asked me to troubleshoot which part was bad. Next thing you know, Justdeals replies and says a new control unit is being sent out. This sure beats packing and shipping the speakers back. Will update again on how things go with the new control unit.
I found anoter forum saying that cleaning the contacts would solve my problem, but I've got no clue on how to open the control unit. If anyone knows how to open the control unit, please let me know or reply here in case someone else needs the info. Thanks in advance!
