I want to use these speakers on my PS2. Does anyone know where I can get the adapter that comes with the z640? it is basically ana dapter that plugs the green and black stereo cables from the speakers and also plugs in the red and white adapters from a video game system.

If you hooking it up to a 2 channel source just get the adapter and use the front inputs off the speaker. Then enable matrix on your head unit on the Logitechs and bam you got dolby surround sound minus a front speaker.

goto radio shack and tell them what your looking to do or look on the wall. they pretty much have every adapter known to man and sometimes looking at the wall and what they have you may come up with a better way. You want to go from din female to rca but the rca has to be female ends not male.

now after being approved to rma/refund the speakers, I get an email from them saying they will ship out a subwoofer on 11-8-04. A new subwoofer would be great to replace the blown one but it stopped working. If I get the run-around, im going to dispute it with my cc so I wont have to pay for them if justdeals.com is going to do this to me. Honestly i'd rather dispute it with my cc so I wont have to pay any restocking fees.

AFTER GETTING THESE SPEAKERS FROM JUST DEALS oops caps was on... i had the problem with the left front channel on the sub box and sent them in i then e-mailed them asking for a refund on shipping they said they would just ship me another sub box and for me not to ship anything and have been working through their mis-hap so id say just deals trys to make right with whatever wrong you incounter... so far! ill stay up to date with this the worst is i wont get my shipping back which was $15 but i mean there taking care of it and said they would test the next set before shipping

That is really good to hear ad with the few hear speaking up there must be masses that gpot from them that are having problems. Very sad but do keep everyone informed.

Okay it's been 2 days. Day 1 was great, except at night I had to push the volume button in or else left rear would pop and crack at crazy volume levels. Still worked for the most part. Day 2, I turn the speakers on and everything sounds like it's exploding. Messing with the volume knob might stabilize it for a bit, but it's going to blow my eardrums out. Contacting Justdeals now for a return.

Latest update: after e-mailing Justdeals, they replied and asked me to troubleshoot which part was bad. Next thing you know, Justdeals replies and says a new control unit is being sent out. This sure beats packing and shipping the speakers back. Will update again on how things go with the new control unit.

I found anoter forum saying that cleaning the contacts would solve my problem, but I've got no clue on how to open the control unit. If anyone knows how to open the control unit, please let me know or reply here in case someone else needs the info. Thanks in advance!

I dont think they mean the contacts inside but the contacts where the unit pulgs into the sub. Some q-tips and rubbing alcohol should do the trick.

Try turning the power off, using a can of compressed air while twisting the volume knob.

Pots (potentiometers) are prone to static from dust getting inside.

Just got them today, and they sound awesome, my only issues are as follows:

1. m3d seems to make my mp3's sound like sh!t (from the rear speakers). I really don't know what m3d is for so that's not a big deal

2. Fade, wehn tourned all the way to the right doesn't seem to effect the front speakers, only the rears. Maybe this is by design.

Thats te way the fade was designed. It only turns the rear speakers on or off. Why would you need the fronts to go out?

1. What's weird is that with M3d on and my card set to 2-speaker, all I get is a a VERY VERY faint staticy duplication of the fronts.
2. I figured that, there's really no problem, per se, it's just what I was used to because my old speakers worked that way. I really can't see a need either.

I got the replacement sub and it sounds great. At first I wasnt impressed by the 560's because it wasnt hitting low level bass due to the blown speaker. But the new one lives up to all the hype! I think I might try taking out the old subwoofer on the broken cabinet and shave the hole to fit a 10in woofer.

I am thinking of getting these to replace my Creative 5.1 5300 budget speakers. However, I just have onboard Realtek AC'97 650 sound on my Abit IS7. Is it worth it or do I need to upgrade to Audigy 2 or something to benefit?

I have a IDEQ 200N with the same chipset. Before switching to a gametheater xp I was using it and it sounds just as good. the ony diff I have gained is more sound options like sensura and such that the alc doesnt have support for. But the music and movies sound just as good with a ton of bass

Ditto. Granted, I've never had a problem with the stuff I've bought from them, so I haven't had the chance to try out their customer service, but everything I've ordered from them (Speakers, a Keyboard/mouse combo, and a game controller) has come in exactly as ordered.

just received the speakers from justdeals monday. placed the order thursday of last week. i will post back with initial impressions (working/not working) after i set them up later today. i'm sure you all already knwo how good they sound so i'll spare you those details and get right to the defects etc.

hooked up the speakers and they work great, no flaws as of yet. in the box were the sub, satellites, control unit, and speaker wires. the control unit did not come with a stand but that does not bother me. the speakers look brand new when unwrapped and there were no cosmetic defects.


so far, speakers working properly. +1 for justdeals!


ps: what setting do i use in windows for a 4.1 setup? all i see are quadraphonic, 5.1 and 7.1.

Use quadraphonic if you have front and rear outputs. Just stereo if you just have front outputs.

ok that's what i'm on right now... quadraphonic. i'm also not sure which plug is which on my computer. i know the front channel input, but what does the rear channel input look like?

i see a litle icon with a 1, one with -1, and a few others. i plugged the rear channel in until i started hearing sound come out of them, but i'm not sure if they're the right ones. haha
