I also just ordered some. I really hope justdeals doesn't screw me. My friend bought a mouse from them before and didn't have any problems. Also, your positive feedback has made me feel a bit better . I wont know until they arrive though.

I got these speakers two years ago as a Xmas present, and since that time I have had to replace the system THREE times. They have awesome sound and power, but after reading extensive reviews and forums online, it appears that the fuse blowing is rampant. You might want to think twice about buying this set. Currently my set is out of comission. I called Logitech and they will NOT replace this system because it is no longer in production. It's a pretty expensive paper weight if you ask me, but I'm just sore that Logitech refuses to help me with their poor design.

Good luck, and I'd like to see everyone repost that has a set die on them, just for S'n'G's.

I have had a set of these bought from the egg of course for about two years and never have had a single problem. They have been an excellent investment for me.

If you know anything about electronics you could probably repair the fuse with a better one yourself.

I am perfectly happy with me ALS56's... Paid $140 way back in the day. They sell for like $40 now. Heh. Otherwise I'd buy a set of these.

I have not blown a fuse yet with mine and I turn it almost all the way up everyday. I am right now in fact

For those that have ordered from JustDeals, how long does it take until you get a tracking number? And do they e-mail it to you right away?

Just wondering because their ratings online aren't very good.

I'm not saying they're going to screw us over, but if you check the BBB or ResellerRatings, they don't seem to care too much.

I cant get to mine till my wife comes home but if mem serves me corect there is a cap right in the back on the unit you twist open. Thats where the fuse is. Generaly if it is blowing the fuse there is something causing it. Double check all your wiring and make sure none of the wires are touching and your not using really cheap speaker wire causeing it to heat up the amp excessively(SP) then making the fuse blow. If you can give me a idea as what you are doing when it blows that would be great. I may be able to help out.

They send you an e-mail confirming that your order's been placed. They don't send an e-mail when they charge your credit card. You do get an e-mail with a UPS tracking number.

I think it might be that I have the worst luck imaginable. I went through three sets, and in a mixed emotion of rage and despair, I tried to fix the z-560's myself. I went down to the local radio shack and picked up the 4A 25V Slow blow fuse that it lists on the back of the sub. When I plugged everything back in (after an agonizing time trying to get the freakin' thing open) it just smoked and made bad, evil sounds (ie: crackling, electrical short). It hasn't worked since (naturally) and is deposited in my garbage disposal.

I am using the sat's with a new receiver that I bought here. I can still get some use out of them, I guess, but I still hate logitech for that, and I hate myself for my bad luck. Has anyone successfully replaced the fuse? If they did, how did they do it, and where did they learn to attain such a feat? Anyway, I hope my fate does not beset you from getting great speakers, I just hope that your luck is much better .

I personally learned how to repair tv, vcrs, computers, well pretty much anything electronic on my own. Ever since I was small and learned how to use a screw driver I opened everything I could find to see what made them tick. Now a days with most things made with computer boards there really isnt much to change out. But I am sure your amp was full of stuff that was and some thing burned out. At that point it is when you tell yourself "well I cant make it any worse really so I may as well open it and see whats inside."

You may have discovered what caused the problem and radio shack carries alot of capasitors (SP), resistors, and stuff I dont even know the names for that can be replaced yourself. And cheap too. So if you still can get your hands on it go get it and tear it open. There is also alot of salvagable parts in there. Get a soldering gun and dissmantle the thing Heck I would of opened it just to get the sub out of there. Thats a long throw sub 8", you may not need it now but stick it in a box and 6 months to 10 years from now you may be doing something and your gonna say damn I wish I had a 8" sub about right now
Go ahead and laugh it happends. I got a a few boxes laying around that to my wife has useless stuff I need to throw away. I make sure that when she needs something I have in my "useless box" she needs I rub it in telling her if I threw it away it would of cost us $5-$100 depending on what it may have been. Just be careful thouh if you decide to open it up. The stuff tat looks like mini to huge batteries in there hold a charge even though the unit may be unplugged so try no to touch them or you may get a good jolt. Some hold enough to even kill you depending on the size. I have a small one on my desk that I hold a 9 volt to for half a second then attach my small motor out of a vcr to it and it actually will power the motor for about 10 seconds off that 1/2 sec charge.

Anyways have fun and anything that breaks or heck some that isnt broken take apart. Just remeber to keep your hands off the boards inside till you figure out whats what in there

Unfortunately, I know nothing about speakers, powered subs, and the like. I can put together a computer, but this is completely beyond my realm. With the voltage that (I guess) it carries, and with capacitors and other things that might hold a charge, it's worth it to me not to mess with it. It served its purpose, and now I have a different solution that works alright. I thought that replacing the fuse would've been easier. It was the right size and everything, but it just pooped out on me . Oh well, better luck next time I guess.

Caution: If you do not know what you are doing, do NOT try to open the sub! YOU MAY DIE!

Ok, enough ranting.
