According to this article, Cashman was one of those who stormed the cockpit of Flight 93 after Todd Beamer gave his now-famous "Let's Roll" command.
Even one of his last acts was a Hot Deal. He gave up his life to prevent terrorists from getting to Washington. I normally love to come to AT and read about stuff that I don't need and can't afford, but with everything that today represents, and getting to hear about how such a great man was taken from us, I'm too bummed to even read the regular hot deal posts. Although I unfortunately never had a chance to personally get to know the gentleman, hes the closest person that I know that was involved in the attacks. May god bless his family and friends.
FYI: The names are transposed on the pictures in that article. Cashman (HawkeyeNJ?) is 5th from the left on the bottom row of the top set of pictures.Originally posted by: Carnivore99

Rest in Peace, Hawkeye. You have been, and will continue to be missed. Wherever you may be, I wish you well.
The old man was a fantastic contributor and should be remembered regardless of how he left our community, and ultimately, the world.
HawkeyeNJ - You sure are missed. R.I.P
Thank you Mr. Cashman for you service to your country and the AT community
Etc, Etc, Etc, .....................May you fly with the angels

OUCH! That hurts more than I would have guessed.
Hawkeye helped me get into photography on the Koday DC4800 camera. That camera has caught MANY good memories and times for me. Now....I will never be able to use it without thinking about him. God Bless Hawkeye,
Tim Harper
Nope, North Bergen is in Hudson County.Originally posted by: Sparty
