It looks great from the outside, but I'm almost 28, >200k in debt, and regularly working 70+ hours per week. Granted, this is the first year of my residency, but the grass is always greener. You have to essentially give up your 20's for this job. I don't personally regret the decision (at least at this point) because anesthesiology is the only career I could ever actually see myself doing. I don't think I could sit at a desk all day every day. Get back to me in a little over 3 years when I'm finally making that attending physician paycheck lol
