In need of Xbox game recommendations.

Christmas is coming around so I have to tell my mom what I want. I am going to compile a list of games that I would be interested in and then she can just buy whatever she wants from that list.

I do have XBL, so if there are any newer games out that are good multiplayer games I would like that. I do already have Halo 2.

Three games I am interested in are Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Far Cry Instincts and BF2. I never got the chance to play GTA:SA on the PS2 and it looks like a good game. Also, a ton of my friends constantly play BF2 online. Is the multiplayer really as good as people say? I also never got the chance to play Far Cry on the PC and it looks like a very good game.

I really like any types of games. So try to suggest a variety. Like a good RPG, a good FPS etc.

I literally don't know that there's a more fun game on earth than Burnout:Revenge (an arcadish racer with deep and fun gameplay). If you don't have the other GTA games, Rockstar sells all three (GTA3, Vice City, and SA) in one bundle for $59.95. Far Cry - Instincts is OK, but frankly I think the PC version is better because of the controls.

I agree, Burnout is a fun game.

Ninja Gaiden is great fun, although pretty difficult. There are few things as cool as ninjas.

Fable and Jade Empire are good as well, the downside being that they're fairly short.

Any of the Prince of Persia Games.
Burnout is great, unless you hate racing get this.
Mafia- It's a game like GTA, I loved this game.
Beyond Good and Evil- Really great game.

Just FYI, NG is SOOOOO hard I gave up on it fairly quickly. It seems like a great game, but for me it was just an exercise in frustration.

Yeah...You are probably thinking these guys must be bad gamers...no game is too hard for me. No..we are serious..this game is freaking hard..A BLAST...but hard.

It wasnt that hard....sheesh, I am a girl and I finished it. It does get hard at times, but thats one of the things that makes a game good IMO

for about 70 to 80 bucks you should get all 3 prince of persia games...the new one is 50 and i think you can get the older ones for like 10 to 15. if you see the prince of persia thread i made earlier, you can see how many people recommend that game.

I recently picked up Spartan: Total Warrior. Tons of fun running around hacking and slashing the Romans and guiding around your fellow spartans. Great gameplay and controls.


I also love the Burnout series. I liked Burnout 3 better than Revenge in regards to the Crash mode, but they are both really great games.


As someone else said, the Prince of Persia games are awesome.

Although it was very short, there is great comedic value to Stubbs the Zombie.

I come from such a PC gaming background that I can't stand very difficult console games. I can deal with a brutally hard FPS because I have the precision of a mouse and keyboard. I get really frustrated with very hard console games because I end up fumbling between buttons and getting killed. Obviously YMMV.

Is BF2 on the Xbox? I can't really vouch for that version but I can vouch for the PC version. If you have a 3-4 friends who are actively playing it right now, you are in for a deffinitely fun multiplayer experience. The cool thing about BF2 is that you can really delve into different areas of the gameplay such that it always feels refreshing. You can get caught up in jeep wars, ground combat, sniper teams, vehicle convoys, air warfare, base defense, etc. And with a bunch of friends to keep a good squad, it can really be a lot of fun. Enjoy.
