As early as November 29, 2011, Trump warned long before his own political career would take off that "In order to get elected, Barack Obama will start a war with Iran."

On January 17, 2012, Trump reiterated the claim, predicting that Obama "will attack Iran in order to get re-elected."

Then, nearly a year later, on October 9, 2012, Trump wrote: "Now that Obama's poll numbers are in a tailspin, watch for him to launch a strike in Libya or Iran," adding: "He is desperate."

Just over a year later on September 16, 2013, Trump tweeted: "I predict that President Obama will at some point attack Iran in order to save face!"

You would almost think Trump does not know what he is talking about.

No, in this case it's the usual conservative projection. tRump was stating what he would do and projecting that on to Obama. I am betting that tRump had to be talked out of striking Iran and luckily flinched at the last minute. He then used the reasoning he was provided for not striking as his own decision. The fact that he made the decision to strike in the first place reinforces this for me.

There is no way he made any kind of sensible decision on his own here.

It’s kind of weird that people are trying to give credit to Trump for avoiding war with Iran so far considering the entire threat of war with Iran comes from his own incompetence in pulling out of the nuclear deal and his own choice to staff his administration with people who are trying to go to war with Iran.

One lady said something to the effect she just doesn't know what to trust or believe anymore. I thought well finally someone with a brain but she went on to say she thinks the Left had the plane shot down to goad Trump into a war with Iran and that he was a Saint for not falling for the deep state tricks. At no point does the host tell this caller she is out of her GD mind, quite the contrary... Tells her she is finally opening her eyes to what is going on in our Country with the left and the MSM...

There is NO fucking hope.

There will be NO living with these people after this.

I keep thinking about how the Rwandan genocide started--fake news spread on the radio convincing Hutus that the Tutsis were devils and wanted to eat their children or some such nonsense. This happened for years, while the army and militiamen armed Hutu villagers with machetes. All it took was one powder keg moment (a Presidential assassination) to get the genocidal ball rolling.

I see lots of parallels with right wing talk radio, InfoWars, OAN and Fox News, along with the NRA and gun lobbies. Scary times.
