What happens if they have a horrible accident right after the draft?
i think RG3 will be around for awhile too, maybe give up a little to much for him though. the original offer was 1st and 2nd this year and the 1st next year.
Lol... the redskins. Overpaying again. Yea, they'll have an unproven quarterback, but now they've crippled their ability again to get fresh new talent for a while. Enjoy your mediocrity Redskins.
I'd be really surprised if RGIII isn't a bust in the NFL though.
I bet you're a Cowboys fan too...
Gee. how'd you guess?
I also like RGIII too. He's local to my area, and I've even seen him play in a few high school games. I think he has the chance to be decent, but it's going to be an issue of having the right talent around him. With the redskins overpaying, their ability to do so will be hampered significantly. If RGIII can't perform well, he'll be a bust, no doubt about it.
they still have enough picks this year to get some more help for him this year.
they also have 40 million in cap space as well. maybe pick up vincent jackson or marques colston and some other pieces through free agency.
I don't know that you're saying much... if any drafted player can't perform well they're a bust. You hate the Skins... I completely get that, because thats how I feel about the Cowpies... But if you pause to be objective, I think you'll see this trade makes a TON of sense for the Redskins. And I bet deep down it worries you just a little bit.
Lol at the cowboys fan..
I'd take rg3 over romo anyyyyyydayyyyyyyyy
I don't hate the redskins. They're a divisional rival... big deal. From the sounds of it, you're a redskins fan that is failing to be objective. If my team (the Cowboys) gave up three first round picks for an unproven quarterback, I'd be pretty pissed.
A lot of moves have made sense in the past for the Redskins, but as always they overpay and leave significant holes in their team, which is where the mediocrity comes from. I'm not saying the Cowboys are any better in mediocrity, but at least our team isn't crippled in the forseeable future in rookie talent.

Except they aren't giving up 3.....shanny and co are on the hot seat....they knew Peyton wasn't coming....the browns called back and wanted to match the skins....
Am I sold on RG3 eh...do I think he can make a Cam Newton impact....has a good chance if they get a #1WR
Could he a bust....of course everyone has the potential to be a bust....
Not sure how "crippled" they are for the foreseeable future. They lose 2 first round draft picks in the next 2 years. There are other rounds besides the first round in the NFL draft I think...
