Looks like the only two things we agree on is Salma Hayek and organized religion.

Hah, Rudeguy, Kranky, Dennis, UberNeuman, & Corn, good people!

Looks like P&N is the place to be now. Topics in ATOT seem pretty lame these days. Poking around here at a few posts leads me to believe it's about 50/50 conservative VS liberal. That's unusual, but refreshing.

So, who around here voted for Obama three years ago, but won't in 2012? Hey, don't be embarrassed to admit it, I once voted for Ross Perot!

(Where's the emoticon list?)

So nice to see you again, John!

Yup, been a long time for me. Hope you are well.

I agree with that government has become a problem because all the people who think government is a problem have gotten themselves elected to government and made it a prophesy that self fulfills. The rest I am not sure about.

Lordie gotta love our OP, as he posts 5 thesis's on the wall. But if any given one of those 5 thesis' exceeds a a 50% forum agreement, by simple math 2 to the power of 5 computes out to 1 chance in 32 that everyone will buy all of the OP's agenda.

You are on a roll OP, as you start with only 3% support, only 97% left yet to go.

Just my personal position, please don't regard it as anything of a personal attack because it just my foolish opinion.

Who knows OP, maybe your 5 point platform may win you the US Presidency in 2016.

I would say that though the scales have tipped in recent years P&N still leans to the left despite some very active sock puppetry from the right... As for Obama, didn't then, won't this time. Did not vote for Bush either... Apparently neither really needed my vote the last 3 cycles and I don't expect Obama to need my vote this time either. Ross Perot would be refreshing considering the options before us this year. Welcome back.

Yep, it looks like this topic was moved to the right place. Doubt I'll venture much into ATOT from here on out.

Moonbeam, what a hoot!

Not surprisingly, folks who are in agreement with my list, generally don't frequent forums, browse the Web, or even own computers for that matter.

After the last France election, I moved all my 401K to bonds. I can't believe people look at Europe's situation and blame austerity for their problems. I mean, WTF did they need austerity measures in the first place? Duh! And, like Europe, we have a spending, not a revenue problem. I see no good in compromise. If Conservatives can take the presidency and the Senate, fiscal sanity will prevail. I saw that Swiss voters are starting to figure it out, maybe there is hope for our "entitled" voters.

Yeah maybe we can deregulate some more and this time they can finish what they started with Bush. Great fucking idea.

The only thing I can completely endorse are Salma Hayek being a total babe and the Tea Partiers representing the right just as the Occupiers represent the left, although there's some truth in all of those. Welcome back though.

It's retards on the left and right that fail hard. The truth is in the middle, so no matter which side you pick you are wrong.

How can you say that about Salma Hayek when she supports illegal immigration and wants to destroy the US with a Mexican invasion

Rubbish, a mix of retards is a mix of retards. The truth isn't some compromise of insanities but a completely different thing, a real third way, the integration of opposites in a higher understanding.

For example you don't fund welfare or let the poor starve, and you don't give them an amount between something and nothing, a ridiculous middle ground, you give in a way that doesn't resemble giving, you supply a reward that fosters self motivation, like teaching how to fish. You can never fix poverty with money but by decreasing that psychological damage the poor have suffered so they can stand up again.

Things like that don't sound so bad coming from someone as hot as Salma Hayek.

Let's see if you're still singing that tune when a hundred thousand Salma Hayeks climb over that border fence and move into your town. I've started a list of crimes that are sure to spike:

A) Unlawful surveillance ("Peeping Tom" laws)
B) Careless driving (traffic accidents due to rubbernecking)
C) Adultery (it's on the books in a few states still AFAIK)
D) That law that disallows people from putting their cars up on blocks in their front yard

If they really plan ahead, the Hayek horde will get involved in law enforcement to create a virtuous loop of profiting off of hapless, gawking Americans.
