It's not just high school students who can't read or write anymore.

It's probably a guy from India who's doing his post-grad work in the Uni and is a TA on the side. This is probably his first year in the US. Why do I say that? Look at his email...@rediffmail.com. It's an indian news portal which also offers free email. Most indians from India use it.

Cut the guy some slack, give him three years and he'll be speaking and typing in perfect english.
