Sure, it's only 7 reviews so far and it's Rotten Tomatoes, but these few reviews are already hailing the movie as an epic success. I, for one, am seeing this opening night with the wife. I have yet to see a Nolan film I haven't thoroughly enjoyed.

****UPDATED**** Changed thread title to indicate possible spoilers.

WOW at those reviews.

Can't wait! Too bad I can't attend a screening next Tuesday

I'm hoping it's everything I want it to be. A trippy, alternate reality, mind over matter sci-fi orgasm.

If the ending is "it was all just a dream", "the aliens are your dad" I may have to punch somebody however.

I think this may be my problem. I have such high expectations for this Nolan film that I might just come out feeling underwhelmed... I just have to avoid getting too overly excited.

So far the reviews are lining up with everything I expected for this movie. One of the few movies, that before I actually go see it, I have such lofty expectations.

But, like the OP said, I have thoroughly enjoyed every single movie the Nolan's have crafted.
And very glad they are taking their ideas to such massive proportions, such massively produced films, and yet still maintaining that Nolan feel. Sometimes the amazing writer-director's either lose their touch or the Hollywood machine makes them lose that original character of their work as the budgets increase.

I love the new Batman movies, but I for one am super excited that at least they are seemingly cranking out awesome movies in-between the Batman films.

Memento was before the Batman movies, and awesome.
The Prestige was after Batman Begins, and awesome.
Inception is after The Dark Knight, and looks to be awesomely awesome.
If the trend continues, we might have an "OMG the budget is how big?!" type movie after the next Batman, and it mind literally melt our gray matter.

And let us not forget how impressively awesome the new Batman series has been thus far. It might not be a style of Batman an individual enjoys, but to say the movies, as movies, are nothing short of amazing, would be ludicrous.
Batman Begins was an epically-crafted film on its own, and it helps the characters were top-notch.
The Dark Knight, while a little more of a "bells and whistles" type of production, still had amazing directing, top-notch acting and characters, and still maintained that amazingly-conceived dark and ominous feel.

Very nice reviews. Given this plus what I see in the trailers, I want to go see this one.

Wow. I expected this movie to be trashy philosobabble that relies on special effects.

I guess I was wrong?

I'm doing everything I can to avoid reading or seeing anything about this film. I've had to plug my ears and close my eyes several times in the theatre during the trailers.

So stoked for this. :awe:

Nolan is sorta like the opposite of M Night.

I'm actually not a huge Nolan fan, in part because he focuses way too much on twists in his movies. I didn't like Memento and thought The Prestige was just ok (with the twists being the worst part).

I'll be interested in the third and supposedly final Nolan Batman film, but I don't like Superman so I don't plan on watching when he switches to it.

I haven't paid much attention to Inception, I'll probably watch it, but doubtful I'll see it in theaters. I don't have high expectations (Nolan and I feel somewhat the same way about DiCaprio, where I'm not saying he's not good, I just don't particularly enjoy his acting myself).

Oh, NOLAN directed this movie?

No wonder people were excited about it. I had no clue. It's definitely on my radar now.

Oh finally... been waiting all year for a "blockbuster" type that is both smart and exciting to watch.

The previews had me a little worrisome, but from those blurbs on RT, sounds like Nolan may have made a sci-fi Memento.

Yep. Probably one of the few truly original works with a major release so far this year. Everything else is either a sequel or based off some other material.

This might be the first movie I actually see in the theaters in a looong time.

It looks really good from all of the previews. However, I am a little worried if RottenTomatoe is into it, their views on what makes a movie good are so skewed and biased its pitiful.

...meanwhile another review is in:

"I didn't get my mind blown by Inception but I enjoyed it. I mean, it's no Total Recall."

LOL!!!

Been looking forward to this since seeing the preview I think last year. It's the only movie I have any interest in seeing this year.

Good to hear. I didn't expect Nolan to disappoint as I've liked everything he's done. Guess I'll be seeing this one, no question.
