There's no pearl clutching and bedwetting over the sacred 2nd amendment for the right to bear Budweiser.

I don't have all day long to sit here and reply to everyone on demand. I'll reply to reasonable responses to contribute to discussion when I can. To give you a clue, posts like #1098 are not contributing to worthwhile discussion and much like the immature and obnoxious kid flicking his peas across the table at school lunch, in going to ignore.I'm gonna guess the Flawed one will ignore posts 1,088, 1,091 and 1,097.
In a thread about mass shootings, discussing the fact that they occur places other than schools in response to your ideas about hardening schools doesn't contribute to the discussion?I don't have all day long to sit here and reply to everyone on demand. No, I was talking about these posts:Was your post #1098?
I guess you just wanted to prove Lost_in_the_HTTP right by whining about a different post instead?I'm gonna guess the Flawed one will ignore posts 1,088, 1,091 and 1,097.
I am not comparing the teens of other countries.. I am comparing current teens of the US with past teens of the US. We have exponential amount of out of control kids/teens in this country today compared to what we did in the past, and it is 100% related to the lack of discipline, accountability etc.. Part of it is in the US, teachers, government officials, etc have taken the fear element that we grew up with as kids because they tell the kids of today, your parents can't do X, Y, Z.. Most parent's never had to resort to those discipline measures because the fear of what would happen was enough.. but that tool has been taken away. Those of us that where raised "old school" in the US, our parents just had to look at us and not even say a word and we know we had to straighten up. Now days, parents look at their kids, yell at their kids, tell them a million times to straighten up, some even sit and count and the kids just look at them, smile and continue misbehaving without a care in the world.
If you step back, you will notice that anytime "new information or new facts" (in this case it's new facts about brain development) has been learned.. people start using it as an excuse.. The US has become a nation of excuses..
Soon it'll be zero, just like concealed carry.Oh this won't cause any accidental shooting deaths or injuries. Lowering the training requirements by over 90% will work out fine I'm sure.
The Republican-dominated legislature has passed a bill that seeks to lower training requirements for armed personnel in schools from more than 700 hours to 24 hours.

Obviously the answer is to make Cemeteries more like prisons.

Passionate speech there by Biden. Here’s hoping he convinces enough independents that if the senate fails to act, the people will vote for change
It doesn't help when Joe Biden mentions 9mm and gives them something to point to.So can gun control. But gun nutters just fixate on that being "GOVERNMENT GOING TO TAKE OUR GUNS!!! MY SECOND AMENDMENT!!!"

Sure it can. The majority of the pro 2A crowd is aware that once you start some limitations, it only starts the inevitable which is a steep slippery slope.
I see many of you have a hard time understanding the need for self defense and the ability to protect one's self and their home. Most Pro 2A people just want the ability to defend themselves or their family.
You haven't seen some of the paid programming on cable in the wee hours then. I still agree with what you were saying.Precedent has already been set with the tobacco companies. Somehow they still stay in business without advertising.
NRA can't file that suit since they are not a party in that potential suit.
When was the last time we saw a dildo commercial? We make those kind of decisions all the time.
Cool, why don't you sure with us how you are you going to harden 100,000 schools in the US, while not making them into a prison and massively reduce school shootings. While also not impacting parent's ability to interact with the school.
BTW: I was in school when Columbine happened. I went the high school Time Magazine said was the most likely school in the nation for the next mass shooting. I saw the fences go up, we all had to wear name tags. Basically impossible for parents to participate with the school. Close campus, no leaving for lunch (This was actually because of a mass shooting at a Wendy's killing a bunch of HS kids at lunch well before Columbine). None of this would've even slowed down a mass shooter. It was all expensive theater that made going to school there suck.
